I’ve never heard Boosies name mentioned or music played in NYC ever so it’s not odd at all for me not to know who the fukk he was

Boosie has a cult following he is not some huge star.

He’s more well known for his interviews then music
He's well known to YOU for the interviews but we know him for his music

Because you’re comparing whole coasts/regions to ONE CITY. Of course you need more then one city to sell in to become huge

No rapper can become huge off a city. The southern region is way bigger then NYC so to say the south didn’t need outside help but NYC does is such a dumb argument

Region, Jay has the East Coast my guy.

What I post made plenty of sense. You reduced to Jay being in one city when I said he has a whole Coast which is the East.

I grew up down here

I'm one of the few Jay-Z fans I know.. Hell I'm one of the only nikkas I know that listen to rap outside of the south inside my age group..

I know entire hoods that don't listen to any of East Coast shyt.. It's not a big deal, it just is what it is.. Coming out of high school in 04 Boosie was God down here.. Then Gucci.. Plies had a short run... Before them you had BG, Soulja Slim, and a little bit of Wayne.. Then you had Trick before them.. so on and so forth..

My nikkas used to try to clown me for listening to Jay.. :yeshrug:

And I said this in many of my posts moons ago, you would get clowned or looked at as being weird for listening to certain East Coast music down here

Hell, Baby use to clown Wayne for listening to Jay

This makes no sense

Jay has sold millions and millions of records you can’t become as big as him off one part of the country

I’m told Boosie is huge in the south but the south is way bigger then the northeast so if this was true Boosie should be selling more records or nearly as many records then Jay which isn’t even close to true

Boosie has a cult following he is not hugely popular the numbers don’t back it up

Jays popped off when he started moving into other Regions outside of the East, especially when he broke the Southern Region, He took off.

If I'm lying, why in 1996, his shyt ain't take off?
In 1996, he was the Boosie of that day
Jay shyt didn't get played down here nor anywhere else besides the East Coast

You’re moving the goalpost now from Jay isn’t big outside of the East Coast to he’s big outside of the east coast because of who he worked with

No sh1t to get to Jays level of popularity you have to become big everywhere and expand your sound

Yea it might be different in the South. I'm an Eastcoast nikka and I played Lil Webbie and Lil Phat more than Boosie.

Goal post are stuck in the ground. You back tracing because of what you said.

Your last paragraph says what I stated a few posts ago.
That nikka would be on Boosie level if he stayed on that East Coast shyt like he was on it in 1996

When y’all say north can y’all just say New York

As a Detroit nikka we don’t stand by that goofy out of touch shyt they be talking about when it comes to southern rap :hubie:
exactly breh just lump nyc into that category, boosie and plenty of southern rappers got love in my hood and school.

shyt Conway the machine, Benny and west was making trap southern sounding music at one point and them nikkas from Buffalo, this is definitely a nyc inferior complex thing.

Anyway instead of this pointless back and forth, why don't you nikkas from down south put us onto some classic Boosie joints.

Instead of hatin, spread love it's the Br....never mind, spread the nikka music so he benefits from all this somehow.

Breh nobody down here was bumping that shyt outta their whip.

2pac and Big with Mase would be played by folks down here before that song
As someone that moved to the south from the west in 99 this isn't a flex. The south was behind everything 5 yrs back in the day especially places not named ATL or Houston.
