It seems to have worked out pretty well. The Sixers couldn't care less about Okafor right now.
Yep and on Philly radio they reported that his shortcomings on defense aren't even just physical but that he's not smart enough to learn the plays and basically doesn't process it all quickly enough in a live game to make the necessary defensive adjustments/switches on the fly, on top of being too slow.

He's still got 20 point 10 rebound potential and I think he's gotten an unfair rep since he's been in the league. A lot of this seems to be karma for throwing the jersey down and whatnot. But he needs a new start somewhere with a team and coach who believes in him.
The part where we value him and want to hold on to him. He was shopped relentlessly up to the deadline, Sixers even posted a goodbye message on twitter.
Then he was pretty much benched the rest of the year...
I'd keep him for now, just keep bringing him off the bench.
