Brooks is a top 3 FSU player of all time, hes in that group of guys too good to hate along with Ward and Deion

inside vs. outside is tough, both played forever Brooks might have been effective a year or two longer. both HOF obvi, gotta ride with Uncle Ray :hubie:

I'm a U fan, and Ray is one of my favorite player ever

But Brooks doesn't get his due for re-defining the 4-3 WLB position.

He covered backs, Tight Ends, slot receivers. He spied and ran down Vick. He hit like a MLB, yet possessed the speed and ballhawking skills of a safety.

To answer the question as to who's better

I'm gonna have to pass on this one chief:hubie:

me and my pops were talking about this the other day because Luke and Sean Lee came up. hes what these teams dream of when they envision what Buchannon/Peppers/Keanu Neal to be when they play that WLB/SS hybrid

BTW, speaking of Linebackers....

I'm shocked that LaVar Arrington didn't become a superstar. He was huge, could run sideline to sideline...he made some incredible plays in college.

i do business with his father-in-law often, he still talks about Lavar like hes active lol. he showed it in 2 different seasons, but never week in week out. dont think he loved the game he was just really good at it
