he was a prettier scorer and had the better jumper but he was not a better scorer stop it. look at the tape.his fg% is only 43% .plus AI put on in the playoffs
29.7 pg in the playoff for his career :gladbron:
No, Tracy was a better scorer. He was more efficient and was a threat from anywhere on the court. I'm talking about Orlando Tracy here, not the Houston version.

Iverson scored more because he shot a lot, but he wasn't a better scorer.

Iverson took a garbage squad with Eric Snow to the Finals..T Mac could get passes the 1st round with Yao...

Imagine Iverson's talent and heart placed into T Macs 6'8" 230 lb frame...Imagine T Macs mentality placed into a 5'11" 160 lb frame...

:deadrose:
Garbage squad? Iverson had the best defensive talent around him in 01. :heh:

:comeon:McGrady never took a scrub team to the finals; he never even made it past the first round :skip:

And, I like Tmac, but :aicmon:

Yeah I dont buy that "garbage" squad.... They had the 6th man of the year in Aaron Mckie, mutumbo, and Snow was a good defender...
He also had Theo Ratliff for half of the year. Compared to the other teams out East in 01 Iverson had a great supporting cast.

East was garbage back then. Its not like he was going through great teams.

T-mac was the better overall player as far as stats are concerned but AI was who I would pick because of his heart and will and the fact that he had a longer prime than Mcgrady did.

McGrady stupidly left Vince Carter before he was even in his prime.

He left to play with Grant Hill, who was just as much of a beast as Vince in 2000 :manny:. And possibly Tim Duncan who strongly considered going to Orlando that summer.

Nobody could have foresaw Hill's ankle going :rip:

-Iverson played in the East when the East was at its all time worst. Iverson never got out of the West with Melo as his sidekick :sadcam:

-Tmac's Magic were fukking horrible. Give dude a break. Pretty much like KG's Twolves over that time period but we will respect KG as a HOFer even before joining Pierce and Allen in Boston.

-Iverson's sixers were top 5 in rebounding and defense. You didn't see Iverson's sixer repeat that success after losing that aspect. :pachaha:

-01 Sixers had DPOY Dikembe Mutombo who avered 14/14/3 in the playoffs... I dont see what is the problem of having Dikembe Mutombo as a team's second best player. He was clearly better than anybody that were on Hakeem's 94 Rockets and Dirk's 11 Mavs besides Dirk and hakeem themselves.

-They had great defensive guys that can keep the Sixers in the game when Iverson's jumper doesn't show up with is often. Mutombo, Aaron McKie, Eric Snow, and Tyrone Hill were all great defenders and Mutombo and Hill were great rebounders "one averaged 12.5 rebounds per game and the other held down 9" clearing up Iverson's of and on jump shot. And Iverson had a great coach that ended up winning a championship with a different team :lupe:

how so? Allen averaged 2 more assists per game. and one whole steal.
AIR played pg while tmac was passing to Declerc.
:beli:

Tracy was a better scorer, defender, rebounder, shooter and passing is debatable.
It's not debatable,he was a better passer, his options was don Ameche though.

Na, AI's team was built for him to be the primary scorer(only). If I remember correctly he had the dpoy and the 6th man of the year and a great coach his team had good to great defenders everyplace.

You seem to remember Yao as the great player thoughout his whole career. I remember Yao being guarded josh Howard.

nah. mutombo is the one dude worth mentioning and he was 34. still great on defense but not in his prime.

snow, hill, george... rest of that team was fukking trash. :scusthov:

Snow lead the Sixers in assists per game and he gave Kobe hell in game 1 in the Finals... he was useless :shaq2:

was a walking double double with great defense. yup he nobody too :shaq2:

funny that u didn't mention Aaron McKie... the 6th of the year who averaged nearly 15ppg in the playoffs and 20ppg in the games Iverson missed... yep.. he garbage

Sixers had the MVP, DPOY, COY, 6th man of the year, and look at that to say that they were trash :shaq2:

Vince Carter had far less talent on his Raptors team that year and he took IVerson's sixers to 7 and nearly won. :gladbron:

Mckie won 6th man of the year. Even if you say he's wack, that's says more about the state of reserve players around the league at the time because he was still considered the BEST player off the bench that year

And people say shyt like "AI carried bums" like the rest of the Eastern conference outside of the Bucks wasn't complete basura that year.

Vince & the Raptors took them to 7 games with Alvin Williams as the 2nd option.
