Who will be the first "main event" GOP candidate to drop out?

Who do you see dropping out first?

Not counting the kids table debate, who do you see dropping out first? I mean with this many candidates, some of these people are gonna have to hang it up at some point. :patrice:

John Kasich? I don't think anybody ever really thought he had a chance of winning and he' s not "quite" crazy enough for the GOP base.

Jeb Bush? His campaign is pretty much blown at this point. :heh:

Chris Christie? He's just barely in the main debate as it is and it doesn't really seem like anybody likes him.

Rand Paul? Had a good debate, but he's not enough of a hawk for the base.

Fiorina? She was candidate of the month for a while but she's mostly just there now.

Carson? Same as Fiorina, he was basically just a passing trend.

Can't see Trump/Cruz/Rubio dropping out anytime soon.

I think Christie may be the first one because he has nothing to campaign on right now. At least Rand can yell about Syria for the next year. Christie's angle was blasting hillary and it looks like fiorina has that locked up long term.

I think Rand has to drop out soon or risk his senate re election...

I'd probably wager John or Chris...

I'm frankly shocked either of them have any money behind them.

I figure Kasich will be the next one to drop out. He has zero traction with any segment of the Republican voting public and he can't be getting any kind of substantial donations either.

Fiorina has accomplished her goals already(namely getting her name out there to sell books, get a radio/TV spot) so gun to my head I probablay go with her. Guys like Paul, Bush, and Christie are gonna sit through NH before dropping probably. Carson's a real wildcard to me in this sense, since his numbers have dropped he could get out of the race at any time imo. Kasich is probably the 2nd most likely to drop in effort to consolidate anti-Trump support and in recognition that he isn't going to be the anti-Trump candidate.

Actually met Kasich's sister couple months back. Seemed like a nice women. Drove like 6 hours to ask a panel of journalists about her brother's chances.

I think Fiorina will try to stick around for at least a couple primaries to try and keep herself positioned as a viable VP option for whoever gets the nomination. I think she is banking on somebody thinking she would be useful if Hillary gets the Dem nom.
