Breh... I understand ethnicity. My point is, over TIME: fractures (if facilitated) will lead to a new ethnicity.

  • We would not be the same ethnicity if the south won.
  • The British, Australians, Canadians, etc all share the same language, a common ethnicity, tradition/culture history at some point, and yet they're not the same ethnic group. Somehow it's not major "beef" for them either.
  • We would not be the same ethnicity if gangbanging was legitimized.

I think the disconnect between us is happening because you're looking down the line for the final result whereas I'm trying to point out how it all unravels
Oh i see what you're saying, your'e 100% right about that but the amount of time to make that happen would take at least (200-300) yrs before that happens along with some other factors in place. I think before any notable differences are drawn or finalized might be maybe 15-25 generations down the line before we start seeing real results

Above the fray.
It's surreal reading the first pages of this thread and seeing the post of the troubled guy who was exposed (for holding ugly views about members of his own ethnicity.)

https://www.thecoli.com/threads/dam...ou-really-feel-about-black-people-huh.696349/

Like I wrote afterwards, his comments and tone in these and related threads didn't come from a place of ethnic pride, but from anger and hatred.
It was no surprise to me that the views he expressed about Africans /Islanders mirrored the comments he expressed about people from his own group.

you're NOT "n!ggas"

I just want us to recognize the game being played :francis:

YES, there are differences. That's natural. What does that have to do with harboring endless animosity? :ld:

How is it that these Europeans went from Feudalism, to Imperialism, to the Berlin Conference and current nation-states- which have a common accord for one another's well being :jbhmm: I mean they went thru the dark ages, mideval times, two world wars, and FINALLY... they found their pulse. We haven't had anything close to that, especially on a global level.

Your brain on Pan-Africanism. They always seem to get stuck on stupid when it comes to the topic of ethnicity, heritage, and culture.

:snoop:

Just stick to jokes, memes, and hot takes. Seems to be all PA are good for these days

Pan Africanises> Tariq Nasheed

Nearly all the great black leaders were pan Africanists.

ADOS > Umar Johnson

Most great aados leaders weren't pan africanist.

Some were, but most weren't.

Lotta y'all try to claim certain black leaders/groups like the black panthers as PAs when they weren't. They were black internationalist who believed in unity with ALL oppressed ppls including whites, but had a focus on black america. And if anything they identified with asian communist groups and leaders like the vietcong and mao zedong more than Africa. And to top it off they advocated reparations for aados people in their ten point plan.

Which ones were not? I think there was more that were than not, I never claimed Black Panthers were, but they had individual leaders who were obviously.

Also I don’t think any of the pan Africanist leaders of the past weren’t in favour of ADOS reparations, in fact what Pan Africanist is not in favour of ADOS reparations, I haven’t seen one?

The original BPP as a group at it's core was not pan africanist, and explicitly rejected the concept.

During February 1968, former SNCC leader Stokely Carmichael (b. 1941), who had been asked by Cleaver and Seale to appear at "Free Huey" rallies, challenged Cleaver's role as the dominant spokesman for the party. Carmichael's Pan-African perspective, emphasizing racial unity, contrasted sharply with the desire of other Panther leaders to emphasize class struggle and to attract white leftist support in the campaign to free Newton. Although Carmichael downplayed his policy criticisms of the party until he resigned as the Panther's prime minister in the summer of 1969, the ideological and personal tensions between Carmichael and other Panthers signaled the beginning of a period of often vicious infighting within the black militant community. A SNCC-Panther alliance announced at the February rallies broke apart by the following summer. After the Panthers branded Ron Karenga, the head of a Los Angeles-based group called US, a "pork-chop nationalist," escalating disputes between these two organizations culminated in January 1969 with a gun battle on the UCLA campus that left two Panthers dead.
Black Panther Party

Panthers actually got in shootouts with Pan Africanist. You telling me Ronald Everett is a greater aados leader than Huey Newton? Cuz lets not sit here and romanticize all of Pan Africanist history and act like y'all didn't produce mfs like that, Dwight York and Umar Johnson as well. Lets tell the whole story if we're going to tell it.

Also I don’t think any of the pan Africanist leaders of the past weren’t in favour of ADOS reparations, in fact what Pan Africanist is not in favour of ADOS reparations, I haven’t seen one?

Most PA ain't explicitly against the majority of what ados, fba, and other ethnocentric ideologies stand for when it comes to aados in this country. It's priority, tactics, and basic identity which distinguish the two sides the most.

We want to be able to unapologetically put our own ethnic community first without being told we're being divisive by not including this group or that group(when they sure as hell don't include us).

We don't want to give up our ethnic identity or for it to take a back seat to flattened blackness or a monolithic "african" identity, and to be able to place boundaries and exclusivity based on our ethnicity.

Nearly all the great black leaders were pan Africanists.

Most of the historic ADOS leaders were about ADOS first and THEN, they would look towards bettering/helping the global black population. None were Pan-Africanist to the point of disregarding their OWN ethnicity, for the sake of being Pan-Africanist.

Most of the pioneers are non-Ados.. i.e. Herc, Flash, Bambatta, Hollywood, etc.

na, Hollywood is American; the other 3 mentioned are non-ADOS, though.

Coke La Rock (first mc in herc crowd)
Pete DJ Jones (put on Flash)
Grand Wizard Theordore (invented the scratch)
Disco King Mario (black spades leader + put on baambatta)
Kool DJ Dee (black spades leader + put on baambatta)

....were all ADOS
