I worked overnight at Amazon during the holiday season. A lot of people hated it and two people actually died on shift. They were older men though and had health problems I believe.

You basically are on your feet for 8-10 hours straight. You can't slack off really at all because they monitor your productivity via your scanner. The only parts I enjoyed were getting in better shape, and competing for the daily prizes they had based on productivity. That was motivating at least.

I've worked at Fed Ex Ground, Walgreens distribution center, Target distribution center and CVS distribution center. If you can get a warehouse job driving forklift or order picker, it can be easier to cope with the environment but loading trucks is a motherfukking bytch, I've had to load multiple trucks at a time, hopping from truck to truck then boxes start backing up on the belt and alarms start going off, that shyt can make a man go crazy.

Yeah the dudes on the forklifts seemed to have it way easier. They were always in a better mood than everyone else because they got to sit on their asses all day. The multiple trucks didn't bother me because time flew by while doing them, but sorting the boxes was wack. It was easy as hell but time went by so slow I requested to be moved back to the trucks lol.

That's the thing when you have kids, you have to do things you might not want to do im order to provide for them. You probably don't have any so you have the option to quit like I did. If I had kids I would've had to stay in it.

This is what I saw at dead in jobs I've worked at in the past the most. Mostly people who fukked up at a young age by not getting an education and to top on to that they had a child or children and basically couldn't quit. Then after a while they get content with the job and if it's not paying horrible horrible. They stay with it.

I actually just left one about 2 weeks ago. I managed a warehouse for 5 years for a large company. 50k a year to manage 20 people and oversee all production. Too much stress and too many hours. I left to be a driver somewhere else for a little less pay... couldn't be happier.
