Aside from Kanyon, you can't book anyone better than Goldberg at that point. Its like you made 100 OVR, so the only way to beat him is to fukk him over.

The bigger travesty imo, is what they did with him following the streak. They basically didn't know how to use him in the aftermath of that tragedy of Nash beating him. He absolutely had to lose at some point as it's always been a winning formula for the top babyface to be in hot pursuit of the title rather then them always having the belt. They just went about having him lose the wrong way because of egos, and Goldberg never quite recovered in the aftermath of it.

The problem wasn't having Goldberg lose it was what they did with them afterwards. It's like any streak. If after taking the first loss they book a guy like shyt it makes the streak look like luck. However if they had Goldberg go on a rampage taking out NWO members and worked his way back to the title over the course of a couple of months they probably would've built an even bigger star.
