Nash was more over than Goldberg when he beat him, it was perfect
the problem was Hoegan going over with the finger poke of doom

No, but you can keep winning until someone else that can prove they're better.
Nobody was close to being on Goldberg's level in 98, certainly not Nash.
@3Rivers Can you make this so it's Jordan No nikkas and Da Hell?
The bigger travesty imo, is what they did with him following the streak. They basically didn't know how to use him in the aftermath of that tragedy of Nash beating him. He absolutely had to lose at some point as it's always been a winning formula for the top babyface to be in hot pursuit of the title rather then them always having the belt. They just went about having him lose the wrong way because of egos, and Goldberg never quite recovered in the aftermath of it.

The night of the finger poke was one of the worst treatment of a major star ever. They made Goldberg look like a fukking moron that whole episode
waiting til the end of every Nitro just to see Goldbergs epic entrance is one of the greatest memories from my childhood. I didn't even care about the match cause I knew he was gonna win. The entrance was everything
Take a look at the crowd reaction and listen to the pop when I won the strap. The Fans, The Sheets, and The Streets all wanted me to be the one, that put the 1 in 173-1. And for those that don't like it..

Bobby the Brain really sold that moment on commentary, made me thought "DDP beating Goldberg would've been fine imo he was the first person to reverse the jackhammer, that itself was a feat at the time.
Oh shyt DDP did some significant damage"
