As a woman, if I was walking alone on the street I would cross no matter who it was especially if they were male. no offense. But even if they weren't people are too crazy. It's one of me and a group of them.

I'm sure a group of white guys walking up the street in South Boston would make some people just as uncomfortable as a group of black guys in Brownsville.
There's no denying that history and media has conditioned many Americans to view blacks with fear, though.
I like to think that people won't do anything to you unless you provoke them (generally, anyway).

Around my way all I see is latinos or blacks so i might either know them or seen them before or what have you so I wouldn't be too shook. If they strange and I don't know them I would think they looking for beef. If I see a white stranger I am more inclined to think they lost, 5-0, state workers, property owners and still wouldnt be shook but I would be suspicious
