Durant will leave the game as one of the best scorers of all time but don't be a prisoner of moment. Jordan, nikka

You also have to look at the fact that they both take scoring opportunities away from him. Just imagine how many points Durant would average if he was the lone star of a team. Dudes forget during his MVP season without Westbrook (for a couple of months) he was putting up:I wonder how MJ would look wth the attention Russ and Steph draw![]()
Jordan never played with another guy who had to score to have an impact the way KD has his whole career. Pippen averaged, what 16 for his career and no more than 22 in a season? If Durant didn't have to share with Westbrook (a great all time scorer) and now Curry (a great all time scorer) he would easily average 38. He's the best scorer of all time
I don't know but it's closer than MJ stans are willing to admit, in fact you could actually make a legit argument that prime KD is actually harder to guard than MJ.![]()
no you can't. Everyone has said repeatedly that Jordan playing today could easily average 40+ PPG a game if he wanted to. Durant isn't the type of player who could take those types of shots and remain efficient (The lebron way of playing). He would tire out. Look at what happened in the 2013 playoffs without westbrook when they played memphis. Durant had to be the first and second option and they got backdoor swept. That isn't a knock on KD, but he can't score like MJ could
Everyone doesn't say that bullshyt. Jordan isn't touching 40 ppg in today's game. And yes Durant could take that volume of shots and remain efficient - he averaged 35 ppg on 22 shots without Westbrook that season. Don't use that Memphis series as a scale, first of all the sample size is far too small - he had too good shooting performances and two bad ones and the Grizzlies were one of the best defenses that year.
Boi if you don't delete this dumb shyt. He's the best scorer of all time
playoffs are the biggest stage and you can admit durant was awful having to take twice as many shots as his next best player and his efficiency plummeted that series.
i) First of all this is centered around how many points Durant could average in a season - not the playoffs. What he did in the playoffs the season prior is irrelevant.
ii) In the four games without Westbrook against Memphis:
36 points on 21 shots
25 points on 19 shots
27 points on 27 shots
21 points on 21 shots
He had TWO efficient games and two not so efficient games against one of the best defenses in the league. Again you can't take anything meaningful out of that because the sample size is far too small.
iii) Would Durant have averaged around 35 ppg on efficient shooting percentages in the 2013/14 regular season if Westbrook didn't play at all?
