i dont know where to place brady.

i would like to see how he performs outside of belichick's system before i can place him with the goat qbs.

but at the same time, there isnt much glaring proof that brady is a system guy. only example we have is matt cassell. we need a bit more.

I don't do that bruh, records are records, wins are wins, greatness is greatness no matter what the end result is to me :yeshrug:. I stick with facts whenever I debate sports, fact of the matter is, both of these nikkas have had all time great individual seasons, both have broken records, both are CONSTANTLY at the top of their divisions, and both have had failures. They are both 1 and 2 all time to me, and I cant put 1 over the other.

My bad at least ur objective i was really talking about the peyton haters on this site

Nobody didnt mention seytons game losing pick against the saints.....

Find me a super bowl where Brady did that

What you can find is Brady giving his teams the lead with 3 or so minutes left.
What you can find is an 18-8 playoff record (best playoff record for QB in NFL History) Compared to manning's 11-12
What you can find is Brady beating that broncos team last year after being down 24-0
What you can find a 9-5 Record against any Manning lead team
You can also find a 3-5 Super bowl record vs Manning's 1-3

In history no one will care if Manning beat the shyt out of teams like the raiders and texans and got big stat lines they wanna see the big game performances.
I think there both great and i talk alot of shyt about seyton but if you look at the facts who is better than whom?

I don't know to be honest. I'm only responding to the type of cats that swear there's some "level" discussion either way.

The way I see it - as one of the biggest Marino fans you'll ever come across - is that being "better" is a combination of great individual stats AND accomplishments of your end goal as a professional, which is to win. That is why I've always said that even though Marino's stats are far better than Montana's, Joe was of course the greater player because he had a combination of good stats with an impeccable SB record.

I look at it the same way with Brady/Manning.

That all comes back to circumstance though. Would you suggest that Tom has somehow been worse the last 10 years than he was in his first 4? Peyton has actually been to more SBs and won more SBs in that time. The reason I struggle to really separate the two is that Tom has never demonstrated the ability to perform any better against the things that have plagued Manning (literal and figurative pressure, physical play) while he has demonstrated the ability to put up numbers when surrounded by talent. The only real difference has been that Brady has been under Beli the whole time while Peyton has played for 4 coaches on two teams and it's basically been groundhog day. But I still say it's too close to call because neither guy has really shown much as an individual to distinguish himself from the other.

A bunch of people mention that Saints pick and rightfully so. Brady threw what would have been the game ending pick right to Sam Madison against the Giants and he dropped it. Also a couple of his late bombs to Moss looked more like they were directed at the DB and could have easily been picked.

Mannings team had a lead late in the 4th against BAL, NYJ, SD back to back years. That takes us all the way back to 06 where his kicker missed the game tying kick. Talk about things no one mentions.
Brady started his career 10-0 in the playoffs. Since then he's a very Peyton-like 8-8. Did he get worse or did the circumstances change?
Did the Broncos and Pats only play once last year? :patrice: I swear people act like the AFC championship game did not happen.
Manning is 1-3 in the SB in the last decade. Brady is 0-2 in that same span. Has Peyton been better in that regard for the last 10 years aka the majority of both of their careers? You look at the facts and take everything into context (for both guys, not just Tom) it's really hard to separate them.

Listen you dont just get to divide up spans of careers to fit your agenda. A would have been pick and a actual pick are not the same things you know this right? and you right i didnt count the AFC championship my bad it still doesnt make manning look too much better does it?

I said i respect them both but at the end of the day If i wanna go win a game in a big moment I want Brady over Manning and so does the rest of the NFL.
