But I see how this can be a great device for some people.

That Playstation TV actually reminds me of something... Remember when OnLive was supposed to kill console gaming?

Yeah, and it's just as odd that vita owners would say something like that when they can also play the vita games they already own on their big screens as well. My only cause of concern with that is if the pic quality won't be up to snuff. But knowing Sony, it liable to be quite good.

Yeah, I don't have a Vita so I wasn't even thinking about that... but that's just another perk here. I think it's a pretty good option and people don't even realize it yet.

But it's really up to Sony to show people what it offers. They should have demoed it at E3 IMO. There's also some vids of how it works on Youtube because it's been out in Asian markets for like a year now...

Well, going off of some of the comments in here initially, it's evident that a lot of people don't have a clue about what they'll be capable of doing with this... either that, or dudes just have 1 TV or don't have a large enough living space to see the value here.

That's what I'm curious about as well...

They are competing with Apple, Amazon, Google and Roku here so they should have a great assortment of apps to work with. But I'm guessing that if the Playstation TV doesn't have all of the standalone apps that are on say the Vita/PS4/PS3 we'll be able to stream them via remote play... that's cool for people with those consoles, but I think they'll have to make sure it's up to par with their competitors because some people looking to get a streaming box might not have a PS4.

I'll pass. Good device though but like I said way before when this was brought up, I'm not interested in it. My gaming area supports all my needs, I have no reason to purchase this right now.

I dont think this will allow you to do say multiplayer gaming on the same console with the Vita TV. If the game doesn't support it, you can't do nothing with it but merely mirror the game onto another screen.

Also the Vita TV output quality probably gonna look like ass. But Persona 4 Golden on TV in 720P?

It's a cool idea I just don't think I'm going to ever use it...does it use the apps as well maybe I could use it like my amazon box or roku.

I'm getting it, I travel a lot and really don't feel like lugging a PS4 around so this is a god send when I game / watch Netflix in the hotel room.
