Can you do it on the Vita?
Depending on the game you can get away with it. For example Knack has co-op and is cross controller compatible. If someone were to use the cross controller feature, the Vita would mirror the TV and they can simply use the Vita as a screen. Only thing is the Vita then becomes "Player 1" so the PS4 turns off the controller but if you were to turn it back on, you could then control player 2 with the controller. This can theoretically work the same for other games that have similar setups(Player 1 on PS4 uses Vita to play as the Nuggets on 2k14 while player 2 uses the TV and controller to control the opposite team.) The Vita TV would work the same except it's displayed on a TV.

Lol.

Basically KillaKen is signed in through PSN on PS4 playing 2K14. Your breh comes over and you don't have another controller but a Vita. Breh "remote" plays the PS4 and now Killaken is signed on to the Vita because you can't be signed on to the Vita and PS4 at the same time since the Vita is now essentially the 1st controller. The PS4 treats each controller as a separate account I think.

Now you grab the controller and when you turn it back on you can sign in as presumably a guest or another PSN account and you're like a second controller.
