Prodigy'sGroup is a bunch of "hot spittas." That's all well and fine, but people vastly overrate that aspect when it comes to skilled lyricism.
To draw a parallel with respect to subject matter, prime Prodigy is better than everyone in group A, though you could make a strong case for Pun. Prodigy's grim Edgar Allen Poe/Sylvia Plath poetics > hot punchlines rhyming a bunch of syllables about nothing but bragadocio.

I agree. That's part of the reason why group B is > lyrically. More creative, more requiring of abstract thought. "Spitters" follow a formula that's fairly simple. You have some that standout by being exceptionally clever like Jadakiss, but for the most part it's pretty simplistic with usually shallow subject matter. It just sounds hot and is fun to listen to.It all comes down to what you think is great lyricism.
For example group A would spit a bunch of hard shyt that would have your face like"god damn, did you hear that?"![]()
Group B would be on some abstract, left field shyt that would have your face like"my brain is trying to crawl out of my ear, brehs"![]()
I picked B solely because B's style is harder to master.
