I think drake is gonna surprise ppl with this next one... If he fleshes out the subject matter from his last tape he could make a " Me Against The World " for suburban nikkas
I think IYRTITL was his attempt to appease people who wanted him to rap...the was most he did since 09/10 if not ever.

VFT6 will be 50-60% singing. It's the true retail project. I'd love to be surprised with it but I doubt it.

I don't judge...i'm telling you to find a better metric/barometer than "oh people I know don't check for him"...

No sh1t...I know people who don't check for NasCar or the UEFA Championship/Superbowl on both sides of this planet ....
Ok,what would be a better one?

Drake is the epitome of safe...He will stick to his bread and butter and keep dancing the thin line between rapper/singer until either someone Deebo him or he moves on to acting.

I expect more Currensy/Jay "OVO boy winning" and a lot of sentimental ex gf/love interest simpin

I think Bishop Nehru has the foundation being under Nas and working with MF Doom and Madlib, I also think he has the skills, the only thing I think he is missing is the vision. That being said, I believe he is capable of dropping a classic album.

nah, he's the weaker version of Joey Bada$$

DOOM and Nas should've given their cosign to Joey or Earl no that nikka :shaq2:

I don't consider none of those albums you praise so much a classic:

MBDTF - a decent album, but vastly overrated, overproduced and not that interesting beneath the surface, not to mention the bad mixing, I actually like the rest of Kanye catalogue more.

GKMC - decent album, also a bit overrated, not a classic. There are a few forgettable tracks. Also Jay Rock had like the best verse on album, lol.

TPAP - decent album, I like it more than GKMC, not a classic, I just don't see it yet. It was kinda interesting what he did with it, but I enjoyed instrumentation more than actual rapping, so...

Take Care - ok album to me. I honestly prefer NWTS weirdly, I like the production and the flow he used on few tracks more than TC ones.

With that said, I don't know if any of these artists will make a classic in the nearby future, I'm sceptic, but we'll see.

Classic album just happens, you don't tryhard to make one, that's what ppl don't get.

Kendrick Lamar is safe. He's a Bobby Mcferrin DONT WORRY BE HAPPY ass niggga whom masquerades as a black power rapper when he really isnt saying anything noteworthy at all. He uses that as a niche along with corny strategies to pretend he's something like 2pac by name dropping 2pac's music in scenarios that dont make the least bit of sense and reworking old 2pac interviews to pretend he's a 2nd coming of 2pac when he's NOTHING like 2pac. We've had enough 2pac wanna be's and he's just another. And for the record Master P was a better 2pac inspired artist than kendrick. Atleast he had albums that really ran the streets and preached about black empowerment and ownership amidst his ghetto tales of ignorance. Kendrick takes eye catching titles like King Kunta and spits absolute pointless ignorance after baiting you in and relies on media brainwashing to make up for the fact that he has zero power on the steets,in the black community or anywhere else. His ONLY power lies in his interscope Marquee ties.

Classics take effort...They are done by perfectionists and I like my artists to try as hard as they can to give us a solid effort.

Nobody ever gives classics props in their generation even worse with this one which is so damn spoilt for choice.

Nothing wrong with safe tho

Drake's sound is established and it makes for addicting music for the youngins of today

He doesnt go too far away from what works for him but that doesnt disqualify him from making classics
