Drake's sound is established and it makes for addicting music for the youngins of today

He doesnt go too far away from what works for him but that doesnt disqualify him from making classics

Not everybody likes nerd-hop...just like how you won't see anyone mention Yes or Rush when it comes to the goat rock bands

Some ppl value an emotional connection with music more than something that needs to be analyzed and studied

Earl is uninspired and lifeless with his music now all he has is talent which I can't deny, but why consign someone who's not even interested enough in music to do something extraordinary?

I think IYRTITL was his attempt to appease people who wanted him to rap...the was most he did since 09/10 if not ever.

VFT6 will be 50-60% singing. It's the true retail project. I'd love to be surprised with it but I doubt it.

Why would Drake sing as much or more than he raps, he hasn't sung that much on any project in his career.

I don't consider none of those albums you praise so much a classic:

MBDTF - a decent album, but vastly overrated, overproduced and not that interesting beneath the surface, not to mention the bad mixing, I actually like the rest of Kanye catalogue more.

GKMC - decent album, also a bit overrated, not a classic. There are a few forgettable tracks. Also Jay Rock had like the best verse on album, lol.

TPAP - decent album, I like it more than GKMC, not a classic, I just don't see it yet. It was kinda interesting what he did with it, but I enjoyed instrumentation more than actual rapping, so...

Take Care - ok album to me. I honestly prefer NWTS weirdly, I like the production and the flow he used on few tracks more than TC ones.

With that said, I don't know if any of these artists will make a classic in the nearby future, I'm sceptic, but we'll see.

Classic album just happens, you don't tryhard to make one, that's what ppl don't get.

as far as I'm concerned, art is FIRST an emotional connection THEN an intellectual connection.

Whether it be hip hop, film, cooking, paintings, etc. When you forgo the heart and start talking intellectual, that's when pretension sets in and the smart-dumb appear.
