Who's the better scorer between Demar Derozan and Klay Thompson?

We shall see. I say put Klay in the east on a team like the Raptors and he kills shyt on both ends of the floor. He's the 3rd option behind 2 allstars now. Put him in a situation like Toronto and he's all nba.

Why would he automatically kill shyt in the East? In the 2 games they played, DeMar outplayed Klay by a pretty big margin (29ppg on 50% to 17ppg on 42%)


And come on, Klay isn't a 3rd option, he took 300 more shots than anyone on your team not named Curry, he took 15.5 shots per game to Demars 17.8, the difference is Demar puts a lot of pressure on the defense and gets to the freethrow line 4x as much.

You put him on that Toronto team and they struggle because that would leave them with 1 creator in Lowry.

You right, Demar killed shyt both times he played the Warriors but put of the 2 times we played them last season he scored maybe 8 points at the most with Klay on him. He cooked Iggy and Barnes and Steph. You right tho about Klay not being the 3rd option. He did take more shots than Lee so he's the 2nd option.

As far as who I'd take as my SG if I was starting a franchise, I'd probably take Klay

It's been covered in this thread. Klay's the better shooter, which would explain a portion of the difference in efficiency between them. Demar can score, basically from anywhere on the court. Klay still has trouble scoring in situations that Demar doesn't.

Dribble drive, finishing in the paint/rim, clutch scoring, putting the ball on the floor, creating his own shot regularly. Demar completes 70% of his shots at the rim, Klay completes only 63% of his shots. Demar doesn't always take the best shot, plus is asked to carry more of an offensive load, which explains his FG%.
