This loss wasn't on Whiteside....

Whiteside did what we needed him to do....

:whoa:

Very true. Low key might've salvaged his career with today's performance.

Another game like today's will show he has a little somethin left....b/c before today he was lookin like he headin for current-day Tristan Kartrashian status

That's who they are under spo. It's so hard for them to score. It's like clawing s chalkboard watching them try to run a half court offense

Imagine this team without dwade. This is not a playoff team by any stretch

Wade can hardly fix it himself, now or even during his prime. The 2009-10 team was 25th in points scored and 28th in assists. Their 2010-11 team finished 26th in assists. The 2011-12 team finished 21st in assists. The 2014-15 team was dead last in assists on the season. The 2015-16 team was dead last in shot attempts at the time Bosh got diagnosed with blood clots. They finished that season 28th in both attempts and makes from deep and 27th in efficiency from deep, while also finishing 23rd in assists (for the record, the 2015-16 team was by a pretty decent margin the best Spo offense that didn’t have LeBron on the team). During the 11-30 start last season I think they were bottom five in offensive rating and I’m sure their ball movement wasn’t much better. This is a coach who is never going to get it together offensively. They simply can’t get easy looks on offense. No sense of urgency half the time and they never run a play that doesn’t start with a guard pounding the ball from 30 feet away while waiting for a screen to come. It amazes me that we won multiple championships with him as the coach.

He's as good of a defensive coach as bad as he is offensively. That's what balences things out. That's how we won titles and were able to take Toronto to 7 in 2016. That's how this team is able to over/under achieve at the same time and make the playoffs, but lose games we should've(ala today, when Philly had 25 TO's). He's good at getting defense outta younger players, but in-game offensive adjustments are indeed his Achilles heel.....

He has been right about his limted role in the offense. The bullshyt small ball line-up has failed Miami in the playoffs. Spo waited till is 4 minutes left in the game put Whiteside back in the game. Spo needs to go
It’ll never happen as long as Riley is running things. It’s reached the point where Mickey needs to tell Pat either Spo goes or you both go. He’s cost us a title in 2011, nearly cost us the conference finals in 2012, nearly lost us game 6 in 2013, got embarrassed in 2014 in the finals, blew at least 8-10 games in 2014-15 with his sub patterns, might’ve cost us game 7 against Toronto by starting Winslow at center, and he’s cost us all 3 losses this series while Wade single handedly kept him from losing game 2 as well. I can’t get invested any further as long as he’s coaching because our ceiling will clearly be a bad offense that wins 38-45 games and loses in one of the first two rounds.

The problem is that no matter how good you are defensively, if you can’t get your shyt together on offense or with your sub patterns and rotation choices, you’ll always underachieve. We won in 2012 because the opposing coach was arguably even worse than him in the way of designing an offense and the only reason he didn’t blow game 6 is because pop had an equally egregious meltdown by pulling Duncan. He gives us nothing on offense and that’s just not a winning formula.
