Carrol if we are taking into account both NFL and Colllege, even though Saban might be a top 5 goat at the college ranks.

How is this even a question? Saban routinely gets better recruiting classes and failed in the NFL. :wtf:

4 rangs is 4 rangs

The magnitude of Saban's 4 rangs are mitigated by his talent advantage like AJ McCarrron's accomplishments are mitigated by Alabama's ridiculous talent. Carroll has succeeded at both levels, so Carroll is obviously the true GOAT. Carroll turns mid-to-late round defensive players into good-to-great players at a race no other NFL coach can do except maybe Rex Ryan. Carroll works with parity. Saban doesn't. :yeshrug:

Pete Carroll thinks 9/11 was an inside job....

steve_zps940a944c.jpg

Last spring, Carroll grilled four-star general, Peter Chiarelli – who had just retired as the US Army’s Vice Chief of Staff – about whether 9/11 was an inside job. Carroll expressed skepticism about whether an airliner really hit the Pentagon, and apparently also remarked on the obvious controlled demolition of World Trade Center Building 7, and the only slightly less-obvious explosive demolitions of the Twin Towers: “Every 9/11 conspiracy theory you can think of, Pete asked about,” said Riki Ellison, an ex-football player turned military advocate who was present at the meeting.

Gen. Chiarelli was understandably annoyed by Carroll’s questions about 9/11. Obviously the general could not publicly deviate from the official story of 9/11 without endangering his career – and perhaps his life. So Carroll was basically forcing Chiarelli to lie. By confronting Chiarelli about the all-too-obvious 9/11 inside job – the biggest barrel of political dynamite in US history – Pete Carroll became an honorary member of We Are Change, an activist group that specializes in guerrilla video “interviews” with suspected 9/11 cover-up criminals and traitors.

By coming out publicly for 9/11 truth, Pete Carroll has joined some of America’s most popular celebrities: Musicians Willie Nelson, Harry Belafonte, Mos Def, Eminem, Jadakiss, Immortal Technique, Henry Rollins, and Richie Havens; actors Peter Coyote, Ed Asner, Charlie Sheen, Martin Sheen, Roseann Barr, Sharon Stone, and Michael Moore; and two of America’s most critically-acclaimed filmmakers, David Lynch and Richard Linklater, all of whom are among the thousands of notables and experts listed at PatriotsQuestion911.com.

Pete Carroll’s reputation as a fearless 9/11 truth-seeker will be the talk of many an American dinner table as Super Bowl XLVII approaches. As the blogosphere drives the topic into public consciousness, the mainstream media will be forced to cover the issue.

Saban went 15-17 in the NFL, which isn't as horrible as you guys make it out to be. Pete Carroll went 6-10 in his first HC gig with the NYJ, and went 7-9 in his first two seasons with the Seahawks. We know Saban is a better college coach than pro coach, but it's not really fair to be down on Saban's NFL stint when it was pretty average.

As much as I dislike Saban, he's the best coach of our era in college football. He's won at the biggest stage at two different programs. He's up there in terms of coaching legacy in all sports with Belichick (he is a Belichick guy) and Gregg Popovich, in my opinion.

bill was shyt with cleveland, ditched the jets at the altar and took most of pete's players to super bowls though :usure:

pete was 27-21 with the pats

not taking away from bill but pete should actually get credit as doing a decent/above average job with the pats. the notion of him being awful before seattle is a myth

edit to add: pete went 10-6, 9-7, 8-8 with the pats. bill took over and went 5-11 the next year then rebounded with still pretty much the same roster.

bill was 36-44 with cleveland fwiw

Can't you use the same logic and just say Pete inherited the Pats team put together by Parcells?
