Never played it but the PS1 had a gang load of great games but I think the SNES was king when it came to RPGs.
And I love Phantasy Star and Shining Force on the Genesis.
Real talk I was kinda disappointed in legend of mana I guess I wanted the same thing that secret of mana and secret of evermore had and just seemed like they were trying to do too much

Secret of Mana, from the moment homey accidentally grabbed the sword and became an outcast was my shyt.
On PS1, Wild Arms with Rudy reminded me of the same deal.
I never played the other Secret of...games, but I did want to try Evermore.

Wild Arms is the shyt, it just got overshadowed by FF7.
It also has one of the best soundtracks for an old school RPG, I've ever heard.

True but SNES had everything else so it was a no brainer. I remember I wanted a Genesis so bad when it came out but my moms was like na you aint getting that you already got nintendo. Then SNES dropped and my pops surprised me with it
It was a good thing I never got that Genesis, I would have missed out on so much piff.

I had the opposite experience if you read earlier.posts, but Shining Force I & II and Phantasy Star IV is the shyt.
