I don't know if it's been talked about on thecoli but fukk it needs to be said.

'Women no longer have to make the first move on Bumble.'

Yes, you heard right. The dating app where women had to make the first move on the guy they matched with, is stopping this feature. Their unique selling point...

Whitney Wolfe Herd founded Bumble in 2014 because of her own personal experiences. She said that the idea was to give women more control. “I had a series of bad relationships, and I felt I was controlled by a man,” she added, “whether it was: Don’t wear this or, You can’t hang out with this person or, You need to be home at this time.”

But over the years, Bumble received feedback from women who found that making the first move was “a lot of work” or “a burden,”

*Insert Kevin Samuels - "Good damn! You can't make this shyt up!"*

Literally, women on dating apps their first move is "Hi," "Hey", "*Wave Emoji*" and/or "How are you?"
Yet on their profiles, they have "say something better than how are you."

Hilarious.

And the infantilisation of Western women continues.
