Why are barber shops so unprofessional?

This nikka cutting my hair and every minute he has to stop to :
check his phone for a message
make a quick phone call
change the tv channel
change the music playing on the radio
holla at some chick walking outside
See someone he knows walking outside and meet him a for a minute talk
Talk to his fellow barbers

I'm sitting there with a half shaven head like

All this shyt happening in the middle of a fukking haircut and he has the nerve to expect a tip.

What’s wrong with being a professional and actually concentrating 100% on your client and making sure you give him the best haircut possible?

I remember a dude was tryna rush and get a cut on his lunch break. Barber purposefully took his time and ate his lunch between customers. Dude was heated and stormed out. Barber said "I don't like when nikkas come on here tryna rush"

I used to hear the same thing about beauty salons...................until the Domincan women set up shop.

Depends on where you live. Where I live the barbershops go by appointment through Facebook and offer complimentary alcoholic beverages for free. Literally I go in there and my barber, who is also my friend, asks me if I want a beer. He has a tap setup next to where we pay .He also has whisky, cognac, scotch and tequila. A lot of the time he won't leave without taking a shot of don julio with him. He also has a hot towel machine for face towels. With all that said, a cut runs me $30 . Back in VA I would get.my.haircut for 12 and tip 3 dollars.

If you’re black then you should know how seriously we take our hair. I don’t mind him doing that shyt if he’s not cutting, but when you have someone in your chair, cut that shyt out and concentrate on the person. What happens if you’re distracted and fukk up a hairline or some shyt?

Usually the ones who doing all that shyt are the ones who cold with the clippers...so they cocky in they ability and don't fear fukking up your shyt. 9 times out of 10 they wont, but you'll be in that mufukka for a min.

My lil bro old barber took 30 mins per cut, had to switch up barbers cause that was ridiculous.
