This nikka cutting my hair and every minute he has to stop to :
check his phone for a message
make a quick phone call
change the tv channel
change the music playing on the radio
holla at some chick walking outside
See someone he knows walking outside and meet him a for a minute talk
Talk to his fellow barbers

I'm sitting there with a half shaven head like :beli:

All this shyt happening in the middle of a fukking haircut and he has the nerve to expect a tip. :camby:

What’s wrong with being a professional and actually concentrating 100% on your client and making sure you give him the best haircut possible? :what:

One of that many reasons I started cutting my own hair

Depends on where you live. Where I live the barbershops go by appointment through Facebook and offer complimentary alcoholic beverages for free. Literally I go in there and my barber, who is also my friend, asks me if I want a beer. He has a tap setup next to where we pay .He also has whisky, cognac, scotch and tequila. A lot of the time he won't leave without taking a shot of don julio with him. He also has a hot towel machine for face towels. With all that said, a cut runs me $30 :beli:. Back in VA I would get.my.haircut for 12 and tip 3 dollars.

You getting a drink haircut and hit towel for 30 and you you complain

If you’re black then you should know how seriously we take our hair. I don’t mind him doing that shyt if he’s not cutting, but when you have someone in your chair, cut that shyt out and concentrate on the person. What happens if you’re distracted and fukk up a hairline or some shyt?
Mane, I felt this. I felt the pain in this post, because it really is some true shyt. He could fukk up your hairline.

I don't see the issue :mjpls:

I see the issue. I'm not a teen anymore. I aint got time to be sittin in the barbershop for hours either...bussin it up or playin 2K tourney...nd frankly I didn't have time then...:heh:

At the end of the day its a job...and no matter how much a lot of these barbers fake it to make it by doin the most...most of em gotta be there to pay bills. I started peepin my barber low key tryin to keep me in the chair babblin away cuz he didn't wanna be there.

Ngga cut my shyt and get me TF outta here...:scusthov: I aint here to spend my whole day and your shift shootin the shyt wit you....:camby:

I moved on to the Dominicans...Might be language barrier on occasion...but dey get you in and out wit the hot towel to the face on top...:ahh: Best move a ngga made.

OP, my old barber would ask u to bring him food, talk throughout cuts, go outside and holla at bytches, tell u he needs to hit the blunt for a while, etc.

But I don't mind it UNLESS I'm in a rush,

Def my barber, and he he's always crazy busy on saturdays so I get he's not a machine. But I be done waited 2 hours, and when i get in the chair if he decides to take a smoke break or run to the corner store I'm still annoyed..

On the low I went to a old nicca barbershop a couple miles away for my last two cuts, first cut was struggle and I regretted it, but the 2nd :ehh:

I still don't know if I am ready to jump ship after 20 years tho. Ran into my barber saturday night at a lounge and he 100% eyed my fresh lineup and gave me a look:usure:. . I'm shocked he didn't say anything, but there was no way I was going to fight the pre thanksgiving rush at his spot.
