My barber text me every Sunday saying he’ll be up there at ten. I always get there at 9:40 to be first but he always comes at 11.

So I just be sitting there like a fool waiting. Fall for it every week but the cuts be crispy as fukk tho

Just described my current barber. He's been cutting my hair for a year because my longtime barber moved to Atlanta so had to find a new barber. Dude is notorious for taking phone calls, ordering food from the food truck that comes by or the sister that be bringing barbecue plates, etc. Dude is too cold though and I've tried other shops but nobody can cut like him so far so I keep going back though. He's funny as hell too. I just come to accept it.

I see the issue. I'm not a teen anymore. I aint got time to be sittin in the barbershop for hours either...bussin it up or playin 2K tourney...nd frankly I didn't have time then...

At the end of the day its a job...and no matter how much a lot of these barbers fake it to make it by doin the most...most of em gotta be there to pay bills. I started peepin my barber low key tryin to keep me in the chair babblin away cuz he didn't wanna be there.

Ngga cut my shyt and get me TF outta here... I aint here to spend my whole day and your shift shootin the shyt wit you....

I moved on to the Dominicans...Might be language barrier on occasion...but dey get you in and out wit the hot towel to the face on top... Best move a ngga made.

I’ve been to so many places just once and bushed since I started cutting my hair again brehs taking phone calls, literally chasing women, etc in the middle of cuts. Or trying to give their boys first preference. Then acting like I’m the issue when I told them to get fukked

I go to a couple of young boys from Ghana and Eritrea now who sit you down, keep it friendly but actually professional. I drive nearly an hour to support the brehs

Because brothas will still go. Maybe if we start cutting our own hair or going to better shops, they'll get the message.

I only know of one really professional barber shop near me. Dude has it set up right, and he claims that he grosses well over a mil a year.

I think there's a new high end shop in the next county over, but I've yet to check it out.

I feel ya breh. My time is supposed to be 8:30 on Saturdays. I still text him and wait on his response before heading to the shop. I may not get my shyt cut for up to an hour later. Sometimes I get there and he's got another breh ahead of me anyway.
Still, he hooks me up nice even as I'm going through the balding phase.
That loyalty...
