There’s plenty of reasons to support black businesses.

-Black business hire black people at way higher rates than whites (63 percent more)

-Black businesses curtails and specializes their products specifically for black people.

-Black business owners tend to live in black communities and raise the economic picture of the whole area.

* Personally I don’t like giving my money to whites. From their history of slavery, to Jim crow, to Donald trump and the Supreme Court I just really don’t want to support or embolden their communities and lifestyle

It was George W. Bush just because the messages is fukked up doesn’t mean the message is.

You are correct. It’s that other devil from the same admin that flooded our community with drugs: Bush Sr.

And yes the messenger matters. Sources matter.

Right now this quote is being used to attack CRT.

I’m sure you know that tho…

Above the fray.
Please elaborate, how is the thread clownish?
I walked in thinking that he was posing a legitimate question, but it's obvious that he thinks little of himself and projects those feelings towards Black business owners.

I made the "clown thread" comment after noting that.

Follow the brief exchange I had with him after that, and form your own opinion about his level of sincerity in this thread.

If you admit many of these businesses are trying to push an inferior product which is most likely accompanied with inferior service, why are you surprised that the result is low expectations? And the fact that you’re equating it with racism? So basically you’re trying to shame black patrons out of critically assessing the interactions that they have with these businesses?

I just retracted that comment. After looking at your other post, I’m more confused at the argument you’re making.

You ask why some businesses market to only 13% of the population. All businesses have a core demographic of consumers. If your business serves oxtail and ham hock, it would be important to understand the demographic that will primarily engage with you, and curate your marketing strategy accordingly. If it’s known that marketing as “black owned” will attract those from your core demographic, I don’t see the issue.

You realize the main patrons of ethnic cuisines are rich white people right?

When I’m meeting with companies for corporate sponsorships for large summits, it can feel that way. But also because they won’t give you the same amount of money as white companies.

A business cannot depend on primarily black support to survive we have no choice to but to be inclusive or charge premium prices. I don’t really get what’s hard to wrap your head around.. but I don’t think you want to because it ruins your fantasy of what black ownership and success is supposed to look like.
