Why are black folks boycotting big retailers like Target when they are the only type of business that hires young Black men?

If thpse products sold they would be there, Everyday stores remove underperforming products. Now if you can show where they removed a top selling product because it was black owned maybe you'd have a point

Multiple Black Vendors Allegedly Dropped From Target Amid DEI Removal

Target has reportedly dropped several Black vendors amid its DEI rollback.

Earlier this week, TikTok user Kiara Imani took to the platform to urge her followers to not shop at Target after the retail giant dropped its contract with LikeU Cards, a conversation-starting card game for parents, kids, and friends.

Kiara said LikeU Cards was among several Black vendors that Target pulled from its shelves.

"People keep asking my opinion about Target as a Black vendor who used to sell at Target. Don't go there," Kiara said in her TikTok video. "They dropped us along with a bunch of other Black vendors without a lot of notice."

The TikTok creator noted that her company is now struggling to sell 20,000 units through its website, likeucards.com, after being dropped with little notice.

"There are tons of other creators of colors that had contracts that were dropped," Kiara emphasized.

Reports of Target dropping several Black vendors come after the retailer said on Jan. 24 that it would end DEI initiatives this year, including a program to support Black-owned businesses that it adopted following the 2020 murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer.

Target joined Walmart, Amazon.com, and several other prominent companies to scale back such initiatives, which have been attacked by many conservatives, including President Donald Trump.

While some Black entrepreneurs, like Tabitha Brown, have urged consumers to keep shopping from small and minority business vendors at Target, many others are directing shoppers to boycott Target over its attack on DEI. There are several ongoing Target boycotts, including a 40-day fast started by Georgia pastor Jamal Bryant.

TikTok users applauded Kiara for speaking out against the major corporation.

"I need Target to end up like Sears immediately!" one user said.

"This is why Target deserves whatever is happening to them. They didn’t just roll back DEI. They actively continue to try to monetize off of diversity and inclusivity while turning their back on POC," a second TikToker commented.

"At this point, this is discrimination not DEI," a third person wrote.

Target is not the only type of business that will hire young black men. Electricians, Plumbers/Pipefitters, Welders, HVAC, etc. will hire you on with no skills and train you up.
:mjlol: When? In 2002? You’re gonna be doing the same back breaking work for 5-10 years at minimum wage and that’s IF you get hired after competing with the other fools they told to “get into the trades”

Twelve years ago I made $30k as an electrician above minimum wage. Now 12 years later I made $135k last year, that doesn't include any side jobs I might do which I do because I also do handyman work on the side. I haven't made anything close to minimum wage since 3 years in this, and my back aint broke yet bruh. I'm telling you this is not back breaking labor like you think it is. Stop being lazy and making excuses and come get this money.

No one is being lazy. I’m fine working at home on my laptop for good money. :mjlol: Going into a trade in Florida is a horrific decision.

This just isn’t the great advice people claim it to be. No one is waking up and becoming an electrician at 50k a year with no prior experience or connections in the year of 2025 while having to compete with the people with multiple years of experience who can’t find jobs, people from other fields with multiple years of experience who can’t find jobs, and the other mountains of people looking for work with no experience.

I DARE you to go on indeed right now and show me a trade job paying above $15 an hour with no prior experience. Unless you live up north or out west in a city that’s already expensive. Plus you need to get into an apprenticeship program and then a union to raise your chances of not making pennies. And you’re most likely going to be working crazy hours or hard labor. For the possible outcome of a decent wage.

In the south where most black people live the trades pay subpar for the most part and unions are awful. The average pay for a skilled trade is like 18 an hour in Florida. And nationally it’s like 50-60k a year. Can you make 100k+, sure like any other profession. But for every technician making 100k+ there’s 20 others working their ass off for 25 an hour.

Black men need to boycott these corner stores as well. nikkas be in there playing the lottery, buying beer, and buying blunts. At least have enough decency to give your money to the white man that will give you a job.

That's what I'm saying.

Breh Literally all of the jobs you linked require multiple areas of electrical experience and an apprenticeship/certifications and average at like 25 an hour :dead: .
Half of them are full electrician positions.
You proved my point, did you even look at this?

This is the list of requirements for the highest job at 40 an hour
