I just wanted to know why so many black men are becoming atheist, or following new ageism. I know God is real and the Bible stands for Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. I just want to know why black men are leaving God and worship.

Poor Leadership, and lack of a personal relationship with God..Its easy to be moved with no foundation.

It does seem "crazy" but if you truly think about the fact that we are able to exist on earth and earth itself is crazy. the fact that we have such complicated and perfect biological systems is crazy. Pregnancy and delivery is crazy. Only one sperm out of millions needed to fertilize an egg thats crazy! so what makes belief in god any crazier???

Also...If your god loves everyone unconditionally...why does he hate gays & lesbians so much? You know there are gay and lesbians devout Christians and religious people...why are they the only people god doesn't love unconditionally?

Also. ..If religious people who read the bible are supposed to be so accepting, why do they show up to protest rallies with big signs that say "god hates f@gs", "aids is the solution for homosexuality", and other colorful epithets?

Breh you can't have it both ways.

The Abrahamic religions are based on faith. You are presenting faith as fact with this statement. We might be abandoning because folks are seeing how much of a left turn logic takes from anything religious.

Whenever somebody starts talking about what they know I have to tune them out. You don't know anything for sure. You don't even know for sure that you or anyone else is going to heaven or hell. You don't even know that those places exist. Your belief system is based around faith not knowledge. By the scripture's own admission. This was one of the first things that made me start questioning religion. Kats want to peddle faith when it was convenient and stone cold truth other times. Logically you can't have it both ways.

I know Jupiter is in the universe because I can pull out my telescope and see it's reflected image created by sunlight. You have never seen God. So you have faith that he exists. You don't know it. If you do, then you don't need faith. And that goes against everything the Abrahamic religions rely on. See the Catch-22 yet?

Because there's no empirical evidence for God's existence.

Even if there was proof for his existence I still wouldn't worship it if it were the Judeo-Christian archetype God.

Breh they bring in females and money and many of them are great choir directors. They are a kind of necessary evil that must be tolerated.

The church became too political is a reason many many folks are turning it off. Black White or whatever. Maybe it's just time for a mental renaissance to happen within the human race. Did anyone ever think of that? Folks won't be getting fleeced for 10% of their wages every month to hear somebody else's interpretations of something they could be reading themselves for free. If you're a pastor relying on that check I can see how this might be a bit unsettling though.
