I think there is a meta-physical benefit to having curly hair. I don't know the why that is, but my intuition tells me that its true. What i do know if that having melanin gives us an advantage over those that don't have melanin so any activity that goes against what our melanin produces is typically suggested/promoted by those who don't have melanin.

So because they can't grow curly hair and reap any benefits (if any) from having curly hair, they will encourage blacks to cut their hair.

But...fuuck how they feel. Provide for yourself and do what you want to do.

I don't subscribe to metaphysics, the supernatural or any of that spook new age spirtiuality stuff. But I feel what you're saying about black hair it's amazing. And it's a lot of benefits that come with it.

Not in 2016 breh. :francis:

You must not see this hipster cacs with ponytails and beards getting 6 figure IT jobs.

I keep my hair long af and my beard even longer. As long as Lance gets to look like he's fresh from a cave, nobody can tell me shyt about my look. :myman:

The whole short hair cut thing is more to do with style than what other races think.
Hell a lot of brothers that hang with white boys don't even get cuts like that.

Long hair on black men doesn't look neat as well? What are you calling it if it isn't neat?
food for thought who calls it neat? how come Afro's if well kept are not considered neat, but the cac, asian and all the other races can grow there hair out and wear there hair whatever way? :jbhmm:

Nobody cares about Afros, but I see a lot of brehs walking around looking like the weeknd and that doesn't look neat.

Brainwashed clones

Some of it is Trend-loving mofos. Black men are the only ones I SEE that be quick to clown each other's minor imperfections about their haircuts and hairlines. No need to even go far. Just look at the Coli threads on the subject.Got mofos out there getting one haircut every week trying to perfect something that wasnt meant to be perfect.
But seems like somewhere during colonization the white man taught us that our hair shouldnt be long. I remember my dad wanted to decapitate me the first time i got a high-top. THought my mom was gonna slit her wrist when i let my hair grow into dreads

:skip: So how you feel about a singer's haircut is reason enough you're calling natural not manipulated black hair dirty basically? Okay got it. You sound like a white dude.

I've had my locs for 6 years and I don't get nothin' but compliments. But growing up, sometimes I'd have a lil fro or twists and other black dudes were in their feelings like ":scust: cut that shyt off" , but around the end of my senior year of HS I cut it off everybody including some of my teachers were coming up to me like :obama::salute::smugdraper: I gave them the:dahell: and kept it movin.

Everyone should have their hair how they want and not care about what others think. Obviously I'm not qualified to talk about black men's hair, but to me it would seem like it's difficult to maintain if the hair is long. But yet again, those with long hair have the knowledge and willingness to keep it maintained already. My brother has his hair in dreads and i don't know how he can upkeep it. I like my hair short but if someone likes their hair long, so be it.

Bullshyt.

When At work I see the white boys, asian dudes etc all rip the shyt out of each other for receding hairlines and shytty haircuts.

Not everyone likes long hair, it's hard to maintain plus you feel fresh when your hair is short
But growing out your hair is dope if you feel comfortable, and it's definitely becoming more popular

Okay but you said "looked down on" so I assumed you meant the business world.
Are you saying that black people with long hair are looked down upon by other black people? (in regards to style)

I'm just trying to make sure I understand you
