Why are Black people so concerned with celebrity relationships?

White people do it too BUT i get the impression (and i could be wrong) that black males are more into celebrity gossip than males from other races.

I don't have a definite answer but if i had to guess, i would say some of it is rap music which talks a lot about the news (which a big portion has become celebrity centric).

I just want to point out you're moving the goal posts here from "only black people care about celeb couples" to "well when black people do it, it's different/worse."

Again, every noteworthy celeb couple not only gets a lot of attention from multiple races, people try to identify with their shyt and apply it to their own lives. You can do a twitter search right now of Ryan Reynolds/Blake Lively and see all types of shyt about "this is how a man supports his wife" or "I want a man who looks at me like this" or whatever else. This is normal behavior that EVERY race participates in. Stop trying to make this something it's not, as a means of shytting on black people. And who cares about black people talking about black people. You call it race neutral but when white people are talking about white celebs...they're talking about white people. They talk about themselves. We talk about ourselves.

Just five minutes of critical thinking would tell you this is wrong. Hell even two minutes. You've been in a grocery store line in the last decade, you've seen tabloid covers.
