Why are DeRozan and Lowry so garbage in the Playoffs?

They are just a good not great team and that's showing in the playoffs so far. Their ceiling is probably 2nd round at best so maybe they will make some changes this offseason. But they did win 55 games this year so maybe they think they just need to keep adding pieces.

Lowry had a good game without hitting shots.

Derozan had one of the worst playoff games ever and was still +6, because he sucks up defenders and other raptors go off.

Correct me if i'm wrong raptors fans but hasn't Lowry been struggling the past few weeks since his elbow was drained? Should be fine once he heals up.

I dunno why they insist on playing derozan one on one against George.... Pg is awful match up for him
Derozan can't really do anything else. :yeshrug: It's hard to change up/improve your game at this point.

At the top.
Derozan still thinks he can get his shot off against him...I'm sure that's all of it. ..his pride is kind of in the way right now...he wants to prove he can do it playing his way...

Was at the game last night and cosign this shyt. Dude insists on isolating on PG and gets his ass handed to him. He should be setting screens, rack up assists, play some defense ..do the other shyt to help your team win instead of 18ft fadeaways.

When Lowry jumper isn't falling, he's aggressively driving in the paint or setting up his teammates ..if they continue playing like this though, they ain't going far

yup at least Lowry can be an asset when his jumper is off.

Derozan is a fukking black hole. And I'm sick of that dude waving guys off just so he can run in to a double team and turn the ball over.

he's also the king of the long two...the worst shot in basketball. His BBIQ is so damn low.

Derozan is just not a smart basketball player.

You know what would instantly make him a better basketball player? Being decisive when he gets the ball. The one good playoff game he's ever had was a result of being decisive and not letting the defense settle. When he was beasting in January and February, again it was because he was decisive when he got the ball. I thought he had finally figured it out and turned the corner, but nope, this fukking dunce can't figure out the simple correlation of his success coming from decisiveness. He always gets the ball and either holds it or dribbles in one place for 3 seconds, letting the defense settle while also forcing his teammates to stop moving. If he would just get the ball and play with urgency and not like he's playing the last pickup game of the day and everyone is already tired, then he would have much more success.

It's easy to slow down a player when the defense has time to get settled in.

Deron was never really that great to begin with. He'd be better if he just got the ball and went, like @Guess Who said. It would also help him if he developed a midrange. He still has elevation , so instead of running into traffic, a nice pull-up midrange would open up things for him immensely. However, he's been in the league 7 years already. For this series, he'd be more successful if he cut...a lot - cut to the basket, curls, flashes

I love Kyle Lowry's game, but he's not a superstar. He's barely a star. He's overachieved. He'll be fine though, because of the way he plays.
