Derozan is just not a smart basketball player.
You know what would instantly make him a better basketball player? Being decisive when he gets the ball. The one good playoff game he's ever had was a result of being decisive and not letting the defense settle. When he was beasting in January and February, again it was because he was decisive when he got the ball. I thought he had finally figured it out and turned the corner, but nope, this fukking dunce can't figure out the simple correlation of his success coming from decisiveness. He always gets the ball and either holds it or dribbles in one place for 3 seconds, letting the defense settle while also forcing his teammates to stop moving. If he would just get the ball and play with urgency and not like he's playing the last pickup game of the day and everyone is already tired, then he would have much more success.
It's easy to slow down a player when the defense has time to get settled in.
