DC to me is like an IRL version of those Black rom com movies.. like where all the black ppl are successful and drive nice cars and such.


I only have a limited amount of experience with DC, do blue collar workers eat with women in the DC? What about broke brehs? DC always stuck me as an city where if you aren't some well paid white collar breh you won't fit in in that city.


Of course I could be way off base with this as I never lived there and only been there on vacation or layover. That's just how the city comes across as an outsider

It’s hella blue collar nikkas out here who are in the trades (some of them got white collar jobs too but could easily live comfy out here with just a specialized trade). It’s plenty of blue collar nikkas who are in construction, sanitation, and public transportation who make bank and have no problem pulling women left and right. Trust, I’ve seen my fair share of Metro train and bus operators look humble on the job but be fly asf when off the clock.

I was looking at the second cut you listed, titled "Maryland Ass N*". So I was right, they never did get over my cousin Ray Leonard (MD) stopping John Gant (DC)...lol. Being born in DC, and moving to PG, we still got love for DC though, as long as we don't get too caught up in that rivalry.

At this point, might as well throw Waldorf up in there. They’re literally 30 mins from Branch Ave Metro and are just down the street from PG. They may be a lil more country but Waldorf is practically a baby PG these days. They dress like us and talk like us. Most of them don’t listen to DC rappers that much but mainly listen to PG rappers and Waldorf rappers (Idk they had rappers lol). They came in clutch with keeping the GoGo club circuit alive when DC and PG County were cracking down on them within the last two decades. Plus the carryouts in Waldorf are the only ones in the whole of Charles County that lists mumbo sauce on the menu. I personally don’t really have any problem with Da Dorf claiming us anymore

Lol yeah DC folks still call us Maryland ass nikkas and also recently, Meezys. We stride with those labels in pride tho just like IDK (he’s from Riverdale). We just flip that whole “Maryland Ass nikka” into Real M.A.N.
