Why are gas prices so high?

It's all deliberate they're trying to ween people off of ICE (internal combustion engine) cars and encourage everyone to go electric in the name of climate change. The UK already plans to ban sale of ICE cars completely by 2030. This isn't even a pro Trump or anti Biden post, I'm just calling it for what it is. It'll become even more obvious what their plans are, the further along we get into this decade.

Yep we saw that with hurricane katrina. Gas was never below $1.50 again.

Several years ago under Obama it droppped down to like $1.20-something if I recall.

But it's too out of hand now to ever go below $2.

I mean, ppl don't have options but to pay. It's a wonder this hasn't happened before. O&G companies probably gonna never turn back now.
