Why are moderate Dems being blamed for the House losses?

You actually didn’t address the question. If Biden wow why are all these other “centrists” floundering then?

It could be that Democrats are weaker in the areas that they gained in 2018 due to Trump being on the ballot and Fox News demonizing Dem policies with some success.

That cac is trying to troll

He's been in every thread (and even made one of his own) to say "Hey, Biden got more votes than [insert progressive here] :krs:". He'll never speak about Biden's vote share compared to the centrists who got voted out tho.:mjlol: lower learning back to form with the disingenuous shytposting.

You know the tides are turning when folks are clutching to strawmen like that while their centrists darlings are dying off.

I'm not "pro centrist", but nobody has successfully explained how the Dem congressmen who got voted out would have done better by being more like AOC or Ilhan Omar. If Ilhan Omar did better than Biden in her district, that logic would make perfect sense I would concede.

Canvas and talk to your district consistently to learn what their wants and needs are. Increase your online presence. Be more like AOC and Omar in that regard.

What you wrote is why Centrist and Moderate Democrats who try to court Republican voters will always lose and explains the losses in the House this year. Thank you.

It could be quite possible that the candidate would lose either way, it's not a zero sum game.

Especially considering most of these losses were seats that they picked up in the 2018 blue wave.

I fully agree that they need to campaign better and make the most of the internet. Unfortunately, the FOX News fearmongering in swing districts may be hard to uncover. And in the case of NJ-07 which the GOP may flip (after the Dems flipped it in 2018), the GOP ran a non-retard candidate who is the son of a former NJ governor.

And what about Kara Eastman, who is a progressive?

Yeah, you can't worry about stuff like that. The Dems are not going to win every race.

Because all of the progressive candidates have run grassroots campaigns and worked with local and state community organizations.

Something moderate candidates do not do en masse.

They have it even more now. Trump brought economic populism to the GOP which took away the socially conservative but fiscally liberal blue collar voters in the Midwest that the Dems used to get.

I know they should try to compete everywhere, but I feel like Biden focusing on the Midwest/PA and not wasting time trying to flip say, Kentucky and Tennessee was smart.
What is "economic populism" and how did Trump bring it to the GOP?

The country is very different from one coast to another.

For example, the guy running for democratic senator in Montana, probably lost for different reasons than the democratic senate candidate in Maine.

In Maine, it's possible they lost due to not being progressive enough. But do we think that's the case in Montana?

Then do those reasons hold strong in South Carolina? Where the dem senate candidate outspent/raised his competition by so much? There's nuance to this topic. There's also over lapping.

Of course an easier way is for most Dem candidates to campaign on the offensive. Thats more likely than them all sharing/touting the same beliefs.

Lastly, politics, is at it always has been, a popularity contest.
