Things are changing because of our generation but I would still be conservative for an interview to have the best possible chance at getting hired. Jobs are still not in abundance in many fields.

fukk it breh. Your hair is your hair. I work at a VERY large well known corporation here in NY and openly rock my fro. And it's not some. Little baby fro, it's out there and recognizable. There might be a day or two here and there where I'll wear a hat just for some type of different look but 98% of the time the hair is out.

I got to a point where I wanted to grow natural hair and I encourge my brothas and siestas to go natural too. I'm sure there are people in the office (CACs) who don't "get it" but they don't determine my standing in the company and my role is important coupled with the fact that I have skills damn near everyone there doesn't have.

I try to keep my look official and not on some "conforming" shyt. I'm at work to work and having short or long hair doesn't affect my performance.

I actually was wondering this. I remember you saying you had a fro, but then i see you saying you work corporate midtown.

This is what im rocking with now and people tell me one day ill "grow up" and get a brush cut. Mind you i had waves for about 4 years so i got tired of it. Im a little over 5 months of growth right now.


Why are people trying to convince me that natural hairstyles are unprofessional? It's fukked up because i have a pretty big interview in January for an internship and ill probably wear it curly to look more conservative.
