People get it confused when it comes to NFTs because of how it’s being used for art but it can be used for any digital asset. There’s a lot it can be used for but it mostly is in the software domain.

NFTs are using Ethereum as a backend so in ETH probably. NFTs use the same concept as SSL/TLS certs. The blockchain acts as a CA.

I said Mint, not purchase. The person who Mints(creates) the nft can get royalties on the ETH blockchain. If anything I think this is how big money is getting over on some of these dumb ass celebs and other uninformed types. Minting NFTs at a crazy high price and letting them pass them around while they eat off mint royalties each transaction. It’s probably a nice haul when you see these dumb asses spending 6 figures on one.
If you are purchasing a random ape NFT hoping that it goes up and you can sell it then you are doing what’s called speculation. That’s no different than any other alternative asset.
