Why are people acting like that $10,000 student loan debt relief is paying off most peoples loans?

They need to hurry up and push this thru into law asap.
But a lot of the companies handling loans are still trying to organize the accounts they have. My loan was handed by myfedloan.com they gave all of their accounts to a new company, and they can’t even find my info. I don’t qualify for this forgiveness, but I only owe $1366.83. I took advantage of zero interest and paid down chunks.
The worst thing that can happen is democrats lose power, and by the time they actually sort all of this out, it gets blocked.
The point of this thread is people (the right wing) are acting like 100k student loans are being forgiven.

Naw keep the same energy because most cats said Biden couldn't do it and he did it.
He didn’t want to do it. His hand was forced. And it should’ve been $50,000 at least.
Then there’s the income threshold. I wonder how many people that won’t get debt relief because he waited so damn long to do this.
I wish it could apply to those who did student loans through banks, but I'm not sweating it.

People will have had over 2 years to come up with a plan to make payments. If they still can't do so, that's on them.

I'm not disagreeing with you that it shouldn't be more but most people who owe 50k or more have private loans and even the 10 wipes out a lot of peoples remaining debts.
