Yes, the history books outlining trade between Mali, Arab Egypt and the Swahili Coast is made up

its not that its made up is that by the time the europeans came around in the 1400's AD it wasnt relevant

and again, its important ot understand that mali was a regional empire, africa for the most part was sparesly populated and not united

they were connections, but we are not "moors" neither do we want to be connected with moors, the moors were invovled in slave trading and involved in destroying african kingdoms and spreading their corny religion called islam

African Americans are not Moors but plenty of NW African Mande and Berber people do.

again egypt is 4000 years old, it got over ran by the european alexander the great in the BC era, 2000 years ago

im sure there was trading going on but there is no evidence of vast trading all over africa, so it didnt impact most africans who were not muslim and did not have gold, unless you call getting captured by slave trader, trading

never said it was, guns is a symbol for tehnology, hence its use in the title of the book you claim to have read

"Arab Egypt" and there is tons of evidence of vast trade

Besides the gun, name all these technologies.

its not that its made up is that we by the time the europeans came around in the 1400's AD it wasnt relevant

and again, its important ot understand that mali was a regional empire, africa for the most part was sparesly populated and not united

The Songhai empire was very relevant

And those regional empires interacted.

again, we are not moors

we are not berbers either, we might be mende but again, they were mostly illiterate

and no there is no evidence of vast trade, you obviously did not read GGS, it would explain to you why there wasnt

so lets talk about the mende

they mostly populate sierra leane

the literacy rate of sierra leone is 43% http://country-facts.findthebest.co...ra-Leone-a-country-in-the-continent-of-Africa

so basically more than half the people cant read or write, how can you build a modern economy with an illiterate population?

a modern economy, for example, requires you to believe that if I give you a piece of paper with some chicken scratch on it, im giving you money and you can deposit it in the bank, and it also requires a bank etc

the question was asked, why are black people so poor

till this day the mongols are poor and they ceased to be relevant after a few generations

the toppling of rome started the dark ages which plunged millions of people into poverty and peasentry

the mongols and the barbarians never achieved the wealth of the romans or the chinese

so im answering the question why are black people poor and im saying literacy is part of the reason

why do empires rise and fall is not the same question as to why black people are poor, capish dumb fuk??

:heh: :what:

1. The Mongolian Empire lasted 170 years. Started by nomads without a written language and illiterate generals.
2. According to your logic, Rome should have easily defeated the invaders since they were learned.

Your problem is you take complex and multilayered issues and analyze them from a very narrow viewpoint. It reeks of lazy thinking or a rigid world view.

Sierra Leone isn't even a real country. You are taking a symptom and making it the cause.

1. im not sure where you get 170 years, the mongol empire broke up pretty quickly, some parts of the empire that survived but they did so by essentially integrating into chinese culture or to their conquered culture

or more relevant question would be is that after all that why is Mongolia today one of the poorest countries in the world?

2. not really, because the question wasn't asked why do empires fall, by the time rome fell the barbarians were equal in miltiary technology

a more relevant question is why was the period of the fall of rome called the dark ages, why did europe go backward after the fall of rome?

yeah sorry my answer is not complex and multilayered as blaming it on colonialism
