A lot of people grew up watching them. Mainly from Toonami if we're being honest.

I personally got into it because my pops would always rent anime movies and we'd watch them shyts together. I'm talking VHS tapes. DBZ, Fist of the North Star, Yu Yu Hakusho, Tenchi Muyo, Gundam Wing, etc. That good entertainment.

Tenchi was my shyt, too. Breh had like 9 hoes on his dikk at all times :banderas:

It's okay to watch Anime, just don't be a fukking weirdo like this guy.

I don't know about them stealing from black people other than the music. There's a lot of japanese rapping in anime theme songs.

Half the time in anime you can tell the creators don't know black people, black representation in anime is the WOAT in media by far. They range from blatantly racist stereotypes to completely off the wall inaccurate depictions. Like think about how many times you've seen a black person in anime that has pure white hair or green eyes
You right, some Anime had descent black representation but most dont. :dead:

Thread is about to become an anime appreciation thread:russ:

I see no problem with this. :ehh:

I've always been into anime from since I was little, but my first anime that I actually watched religiously was Naruto. Back when I was living in Chicago, around 2002, I first saw it on Cartoon Network. I was like :ohhh:. This was when Team 7 had went to go take out Zabuza and Haku, real early in the series. The stuff got so good, I wanted more. I looked everywhere... Until I learned that there were more. :blessed:I just had to read the subtitles. So off with that I went. THEN I discovered Bleach, and that was another one that got crazy from the jump to me. :whoo: And when it hit the Soul Society/Rescue Rukia arc, it was a wrap. (That Kenpachi fight... :ohlawd::ooh::whew::banderas:) From there on, the rest is history. Thank God for Toonami and Adult Swim, that made the cypher complete.

I feel like people only hate on anime because they see the extremely unattractive and socially awkward people who wear unfitting and unflattering cosplays and label the entire community as that. It's no different than watching a series on Netflix. Just because it's animated and comes from a different part of the world, doesn't make it any less entertaining or hold less value than the stuff that's here in North America. Most people who get surprised that black people watch anime are white people lmao, cause you ask ANY black man about anime and he'll tell you he at LEAST watched DBZ. (Chances are, he was also a Vegeta stan as well. I know plenty.:pachaha:) But those are also the same white people who expect you to be a walking stereotype (yet have NO black friends, which... actually says a lot :skip:), so in reality, you can't put much stock into what these people tell you either. :ld:
