Why are so many young white people on meth and heroin these days?

You're just probably noticing it now. There were and still are a lot of drug addicts out here sadly. Some people hide it very well. Some dont. I've done seen enough of the harms of that shyt throughout my life that I applaud anybody who has never tried drugs and alcohol before even weed though weed is harmless. It's just sad seeing how that shyt ruins families especially the kids if their parents or one of their parents are addicts. That is horrible.

Crazy because growing up we looked at addicts as fiends, junkies and fukk ups instead of someones son, daughter, mother, or father that made a mistake. You just gotta fukk up once and that's a lifetime of trying to stay clean. Smoke some weed laced with crack, heroin or meth or even absorb that shyt in your hands from sweat or whatever the case and you're hooked. Just stay away from drugs.

Tbh, call me a square or lame, whatever but I legit don't understand how people still pickup the habit of cigarettes these days, as a guy who's not mid thirties.

Like, tv did all it could to tell us that smoking will kill you, but somehow, people still do it.

Take that same rampant stupidity and shortsightedness and apply it to whites, I guess.

If a cac is dumb enough to open a stranger's medicine cabinet, and just try pills as if they're samples at the food court, how could this problem be a mystery?

People will choose stupid EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
All that movie dignity is a facade.

People are largely trash, unabashedly so.

Cacs are just more so trash, as they're coddled by propaganda, rather than victimized by it, as we are.

i don't get it either, thats why it's whatever when the negatives effects takes its toll.:yeshrug:

I'm white. Some of the answers in here are reaching.

We do drugs because we're bored.

Read that again. White people have nothing better to do so we do drugs.

I grew up in a poor city until high school when I moved to an affluent suburb.

My friends from the city would smoke weed and drink. Thats it.

My friends from the burbs would do that then throw in some acid, mushrooms, oxy, or whatever else they could get their hands on. Simply because they had the money for it and they had nothing better to do with their day.

Rich people do more drugs than poor people. :yeshrug:

That's an interesting point.

Because I always wondered why third world countries don't have MASSIVE drug issues, if it's about depression.

Some of those countries even produce the drugs. Yet the people aren't all hooked.

Maybe they can't afford it or maybe they actually do have huge drug problems and it's under-reported.

A lot of drug addicts out here could panhandle or get money from family. But in a third world village, who would you get the money from?

A younger white guy at work said he's had 3 or 4 people from high die of overdosing. I asked how do you get hooked on heroin at such a young age. He said alot of them played high school sports and got injured and then were hooked on pain pills. Made sense.

I still haven't heard a reasonable explanation for meth, that shyt makes no sense.

That old Chris rock joke. White people can’t handle being broke. There’s another line from a pundit that white people look at themselves as temporarily displaced millionaires. It’s basically a white privilege thing they think that at any moment they’ll reclaim their rightful place in society rubbing shoulders with their employers. That’s why whites always vote against their own economic interests

some of you are probably too young to remember Joe the plumber. he was a working stiff who had a once-in-a-lifetime chance to ask Barack Obama a question on the campaign trail. this guy wasn’t really a plumber he was just a handyman, so he claimed that he was going to buy his boss‘ business which conveniently made exactly $250,000 a year which was the cut off for Obama‘s tax increase. so this guy getting a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ask a question, and asks a question about a hypothetical rich mans tax cut. And Republicans made him a hero.
Good point

1. White people in this country don't know how to deal with hardships the way minorities do. For a long time in this country, as a White man, you didn't even have to go to college. You just finish HS, get a job at the factory, and then you have enough to put food on the table and at the very least, a pension at the end. They spent so much time making it so that minorities and women couldn't get the same things that help them achieve comfort and success, they didn't realize that the right wing of this country was slowly making it so that the power was in the hands of big business and corporations, and that the things that helped build the middle class, were slowly disappearing to the point where these Gen Z kids and anyone who comes after them won't even know what the fukk a union or a pension is, or its utility, so they won't fight for it or see the importance of it. While white women aren't exactly victims here (just got a shytty cut of the pie) they are smart enough to know that without that piece of paper, the chances of succeeding are lower. Now they're in failing towns and areas in Westbumblefukk, Flyover Country with no prospects and no way to earn a living, and the system is still tailored for their success, but now more than ever, in order to succeed you have to have wealth or come from some kind of money or have connections.

2. There was a study that showed that doctors believe in the pain of White people more than they do when it comes to Black people when it comes to diagnosing pain. So that Black person who is in terrible pain from a car accident, or injury or something, ain't getting those opioids. That white guy who says his back is in pain and that it's excruciating? The doc is giving him that opioid prescription and probably re-upping that shyt, and he's getting addicted and when the prescription runs out or just ain't hittin like it used to, he's gonna find that shyt and when the body builds up a tolerance to it he's gonna need something even stronger: Heroin/Fentanyl

Man, I can see how you could be lower on the totem pole than other white people but got a kind of miss me with that poverty talk. I mean there's so many jobs I see white people had the black people had no access to. You can go all around this country and count the amount of black men working in the trades on your hand and most cities. How many licensed plumbers and electricians are there out there?

With black women you rarely see any black nurses these days. In fact and some places here in the South you won't see black women working and doctors offices or anything like that. You just have black women working at fast-food places like McDonald's and Popeyes.

There are so many lanes you can move in as a white man or woman I don't see why you would just want to spend your life shooting up heroin and smoking meth.

I think that depends on where you live. Here Mogo county is one of the worst in the country for heroin addiction and also one the highest income earning counties in the state. I don't think it has to do with lack of income per se. I think it had to do with lack of purpose. I think our parents generation did a huge disservice to these young people with soft parenting. Family values are low, ambitious is low and personal growth is low. The is no struggle nor any goals. These people literally have no reason to live.

PS All I see are Black nurses here. Literally when I was in a car accident a few years ago i went to the best hospital in the area and 50% often nurses were Black and both of the doctors i spoke to were Black
