I've been to Honduras. Tegus, San Pedro, Tela, comyagua, la esperansa, and crossed la linea and visted san salvador. I was fine, I was myself. I didn't do anything that I wouldn't try back home. I was respectful like I normally am, I wasn't a super negro or a magical negro, and everything was normal. I spazzed when taxi drivers tried to finesse me like normal and I was on high alert in the bars and texaco.

I didn't try to be the magical black male or represent every black male. I left a few people with bad impressions and some with good ones and I never blamed black hondurenyos or black panamanians or black AAs for any negative stereotypes they had about blacks, I blamed the locals themselves for that.

Since my parents country is majority muslim country, yes the expats do respect the local customs, especially in regards to dressing modest, especially when going to the local villages.

I've lived in a majority muslim country, and I still drank alcohol at the big foreign hotels/nightclubs (some people were mad that I drank) and didn't have any problems with the locals for my bad habits, they damn near all smoked and I wasn't with that. When Ramadan came, I fasted , but if I got thirsty under that boiling ass sun, then I'd drink. People would get mad and screw up their face, but then others would see me as a non-muslim and respect the effort I made.

Expat is another word for foreigner, which i am not. I said foreigners(usually Europeans) of my parents country, which means that i am originally from there, but parents later moved to the west. Reread and come back if you care to respond. I later said they usually respect the local customs, and not trying to make waves.
