I think it’s due to a lack of parenting. Just goes to show you that not everyone is fit to have a child.

The difference between 'these days' and back then is you hear about shyt more now due to social media. There isn't any difference. I grew up in the 80s and 90s. Kids are tame now. Trust me.

Yes frustrated is the right word.

These are not crimes of need.

ANYONE that brings up old crime stats is being disingenuous. Living standards and poverty hit people way worse in those eras. Those were crimes of NEED. Today a lot of crime is crime of OPPORTUNITY.

I can count on one hand how many times i've spanked my children on one hand. The more you communicate with your children, and spend uninterrupted time with your children, the less you have to discipline them.

If the only time you're spending time with your kids is when you're disciplining them for doing wrong. Then a child will equate getting attention from the parent through bad behavior.

The more quality time you spend with your child, the more your child will seek not to disappoint you. CUTTING DOWN, not eliminating totally, bad behavior. Outside influences from peers have a play in this as well though. This is from my observation in different community groups im involved with.

Same thing is happening up here in Canada. I wonder if it's a worldwide trend. Most crimes are committed by 12-17 year olds nowadays. I think it's a mix up growing up in bad environments, social media, people being parents who should not be parents, etc.

Also before you discipline your child, make sure you've done your job as a parent.. Sometimes a curious child will knock over a glass, that was sitting on the edge of a table, by a neglectful parent.

A parent must consider how they themselves contribute to a child's bad behavior by their own behavior..

its not black and white. life is not simple like that. I've committed crimes for no reason spontaneously as a youth. no rhyme or reason.

GTA 5 single handily made Generation Z into violent addicts. Some of them young heads literally think that real life is a first-person version of a GTA 5 save file

Them older dudes were wild but as kids we didn't always see it..
When such behaviors cross over into the next generation it has become a vicious cycle, a way of life..basically it has become culture now for some. And breaking out of generational traps is hard.

People are now trying to culturalize violence into a way of life, for all income levels.
