It'd be much easier and humane to just make it so there's housing available and affordable for everyone so people don't have to depend on shaky relationships from the jump.

The shyt would collapse.
The stock market would collapse and most people would starve because:
A) men build and run 90% of our farms
B) men build and run 90% of our factories
C) men drill mine and drill the energy that makes everything work
There is no way around it. Men are neccessary for society to function.
Because someone with a vagina would have to be a completely damaged or a degenerate to not be able to eventually find shelter in exchange for access to it.
Every chick I've ever known who spent time without a place to live, it was because they were too proud to humble them selves, or too crazy for anyone to deal with. A acquaintance posted a whole FB testimony the other day about her recent struggles with being semi homeless recently looking for help, while neglecting to post that she got put out because she got caught cheating on her 2nd husband with another guy from our HS class.
She's chubby but cute and apparently a freak, so some guy who saw the post will jump in her inbox and rescue her. It's all in the game.

1) Mental Illness and lack of access to care- A lot of homeless men suffer from mental illness that complicates living with others. Many low/no income housing options require people to live next to others with severe, unmanaged illness and addictions, making the environment very scary and unstable for example, for someone dealing with paranoid schizophrenia or PTSD.
Also, Mental Illness has to be treated for the rest of your life. Inconsistent treatment can lead people to a life of instability. Example- You are homeless and need meds to decrease voices, but you lose your meds and can't get more for a month. Your voices get louder and tell you to kill yourself. You forget to bathe. You don't go to work, you go to the hospital, lose your job, and can't pay rent, etc. Many times some illnesses will tell people that they don't really need their meds, that they and self medicate or do things like praying to stop their illness and they wind up in the same cycle as above, often that cycle includes jail. Many homeless men with mental illness "reside" in jail. Felonies prevent people from accessing jobs and housing.
2) Men try to fend for themselves before living in a dangerous environment. Women tend to put themselves in unsavory situations just to have a roof over their head. They may use their body or stay with abusers. Many, MANY, if not most, homeless women have been sexually assaulted. It's not safe to be a single woman on the street. Keep in mind that many women-only shelters or women with family shelters are designed to primarily help victims escaping domestic violence or sexual assault. The above is also true for gay men and trans women- all of those facts apply. Straight Men on the other hand will try to tough it out on their own. Straight men can still be abused physically and sexually (and are often assaulted when vulnerable, ie elderly, under the influence, disabled), but they are more likely to feel they can defend themselves and will try out homelessness.
3) Addiction- Many transitional housing requires sobriety. Many homeless people have addictions to drugs like meth, heroin, cocaine and alcohol. Substances can cause people to act erratically, aggressively, and can invite unwanted guests in these places. Addiction, like mental illness, interrupts people from performing daily tasks that ensures housing, like obtaining and maintaining a sufficient job, etc.
4) Shelters, like Jesus Saves, are dangerous. Most people, men and women, get robbed, medications are stolen, and fall victim to sexual assault in shelters. Shelters are crowded and once you fall asleep you become vulnerable to crime. Many homeless would rather die than go to a shelter
5) Many longer term community solutions ask for participants to engage in some form of treatment that is just tough for anyone to follow long term. This includes psychological therapy, religious-based treatments (12 Step, Salvation Army), and addictions treatments. I'd compare it to a diet- people have trouble sticking with it because it's human nature to mess up or to need several or lifelong attempts to make it through
6) There ARE people out there who think that being homeless is a right. They may not want to spend whatever money they have on rent. They oppose the compulsory law that all people must live in a place with an address. They believe that the earth is free and you should be able to be a human without a home, camping as nature intended.

If by "society" you mean some kind of primitive stone age, barely surviving type shyt then yeah, maybe.

but women still exist in those fields, therefor while there'd be massive slowdowns and collapses of industries, that would take arguable a generation to get back up to minimal efficiency, that doesn't mean it's utterly impossible.
-Female initiated divorce in a lot of cases. (I.e. Imagine a Jeff Bezos without the billions, cheating on his wife and having to pay child support and alimony=writing checks with ur dikk, ur ass can’t cash.)
-Multiple baby mamas.
-A lot of men staying with women and/or others and acting flagrantly disrespectful and getting put out. (I.e. a chick putting a roof over ur head and giving u her car to use and u still cheating on her, and she hit the

-Lack of social support circle. Women tend to support each other more and have better social skills. Even in old age and beyond divorce.
Those same 8 females stuck together in that Motel 6 room going to the Essence music festival can sometimes translate to females being better at forming communal support for each other.
Think about Golden Girls set up. Male pride and ego oftentimes undermines their survival b/c they are dismissive of social/communal benefits. That lone wolf shyt is hard to pull off. We all need somebody.
-Lack of real friends. A lot of dudes got dudes in their circle who use them, but are nowhere around when they need something in return. If u got true Day 1s, you should never be homeless:
-Living in expensive areas.
-Job market phasing out traditionally held male jobs and trades. A lot of men are tempted to blame women for this, but it’s really other men they should be blaming. Women still traditionally hold mainly female oriented positions. (I.e. nursing, teaching, ect.) Women have made strides in a lot of industries but there hasn’t been a huge take over of male dominated industries.
-However, what has encroached upon traditional male blue collar jobs is outsourcing from overseas, automation, requiring useless bloated costly educational training for shyt you used to be able to get apprenticed into for free, and technology. Society has been moving towards the gradual phasing out of blue collar manual labor where most men traditionally earned income. This leaves tons of dudes with awesome labor potential broke with very few employment options.
-Unfair incarceration. By design b:c whites want free labor.
-Pride. We had a job fair targeted towards blk males to become teachers years ago at an old school I used to work at. Lateral entry training would be provided. If u had a dikk, u were all but guaranteed the job. Females were out in droves. Men? Nope. Teaching is high stress. Low pay. But it’s still a job with benefits. Some dudes scoff at a lot of industries and jobs and think they are beneath them.
-Depression and mental health and drugs.

In America men of a certain age are expected to work. The government provides many safety nets for women to fall back on, more so if they have children.
