 how can you call this man a c00n? nikkas did more for blacks than many realize. if he is a c00n, dubois is an idealist who birthed the boule with his talented tenth rhetoric. there would be no need for the tenth to serve as liasions between the black and white worlds if the black community is self sufficient (his goal with the cast down your buckets remark).

if you cant plow a yard, how can you profit off of your land? take those slave labor talents and use them to work for yourself instead relying on others.

Booker T. Washington - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Some of you need to do some research and tone down who you label a "c00n".

"Washington attained national prominence for his Atlanta Address of 1895, which attracted the attention of politicians and the public, making him a popular spokesperson for African-American citizens. He built a nationwide network of supporters in many black communities, with black ministers, educators and businessmen composing his core supporters. Washington played a dominant role in black politics, winning wide support in the black community and among more liberal whites (especially rich Northern whites). He gained access to top national leaders in politics, philanthropy and education. Washington's efforts included cooperating with white people and enlisting the support of wealthy philanthropists, helping to raise funds to establish and operate thousands of small community schools and institutions of higher education for the betterment of blacks throughout the South. This work continued for many years after his death. Washington argued that the surest way for blacks to gain equal social rights was to demonstrate "industry, thrift, intelligence and property."
Northern critics called Washington's followers the "Tuskegee Machine". After 1909, Washington was criticized by the leaders of the new NAACP, especially W. E. B. Du Bois, who demanded a stronger tone of protest for advancement of civil rights needs. Washington replied that confrontation would lead to disaster for the outnumbered blacks, and that cooperation with supportive whites was the only way to overcome pervasive racism in the long run. At the same time, he secretly funded litigation for civil rights cases, such as challenges to southern constitutions and laws that disfranchised blacks."

That sound like a c00n to you?

Reading this thread is kind of sad. Don't get me wrong I know The Coli got jokes for days but to come in here and read all this misinformation on Booker T Washington when all you gotta do is open a new tab and Google his name is a got damn shame. For those unaWARE Booker T Washington and WEB DuBois were the ones who disagreed with each other. It was similar to Malcolm X and MLK or Jay-Z and Nas. DubOis and Booker T used to diss each other on Twitter back and forth until one day WEB DuBois released a diss track to the Ether beat and dropped it on the Cab Calloway Mixtape volume 3. The streets were buzzing until one day Dubois & Booker T's crews got in to it near the Cotton Club then minister Farrakhan came in and settled both sides then DuBois signed Booker T to Def Jam.
