Why are wealthy / surburban black people seen as LESS black?

Not all, but a large portion of suburban blacks who dont have knowledge of self tend to identify with their cac peers thinking economic status and a bougie attitude can make them better than "those blacks"
This tends to show itself in many forms of c00nery & bedwenchery
This will never work though, the cacs they try to impress never fully accepts them and the nikkas they've been throwing under the bus ain't dumb so this leaves them isolated.
If you're a suburban breh/brehette just don't be one of those brand new, bougie, stuck up c00ns and there won't be any problems
This is pretty silly. If you grow up in the burbs or in a upper class area, you will likely be surrounded by whites and other cultures. I've never understood how these types were shunned. Probably why you'd see so many blacks from good homes try to be down...just for acceptance.
We are really do have a fukked up mindset though which does us no favors.
I do think some lack knowledge of self but don't think that has anything to do with where they grew up. Some of the most hoood people suffer the same problem.
I also will never understand how a uneducated, hood dude will identify with black culture more than an educated, well rounded brotha. And it aint just ignorant black folk that ostracize blacks that don't fit the "criteria". It's whites. Take it from a nikka that played hockey, spoke properly and liked art growing up.

Because poverty is glamourized in our modern day culture and the "hustle".
Which is really all bullshyt because my grandparents hustled as well as my parents LEGALLY so I wouldn't have to.
Just because YOUR PARENTS valued cracking cocaina and Heron more than your future don't put that shyt on me. Our predecessors all had choices and the reality is that 70% of them in the past 25 years chose to make bad ones by continuing to birth children into poverty.
In NYC Urban upwardly mobile Blacks often live side by side with underachievers in our community. My parents moved to a mixed neighborhood to prevent me from being influenced by older kids who were raised by no good nikkas and hoes. If that's being a c00n then whatever.

You get it drilled into that you aint shyt your entire life because you're black and poor and under educated. But then you're constantly told that the only reason you're in those kinds of conditions is because you're black.
How else are you going to make yourself not feel like you're grovelling along the bottom of the food chain unless you put down other blacks for not being like you (they think they better than us)?

They know that unless you straight on some Don Lemon shyt, you really take pride in your blackness, no matter where you're from, no matter what you do, how you dress, etc. Hell, the rest of the world wont let us forget we're black, either. Saying you aren't black enough is just the easiest way to hurt folks so they can ignore their insecurities.
Contrast how when chicks get loud or brehs get rowdy, "uppity" black people never say they aren't acting black.
Hell, look around the coli. People use the tactic to troll other black people all the time. because it works.

Let us be real here, OP never had any intention on having a serious discussion about this issue. He already had his own ideas and opinions on this issue. Anyone that is not inline with his way of thinking, he will dismiss as having a "hood mentality" or " being uneducated". Op only brought up this this topic so he can have the chance to prove how progressive his thinking is and to point out how many of us have a "hood/uneducated" mentality. He refuse to acknowledge that our experience with suburban blacks is valid or that our explanation is valid. Simple and plain...dude is an agent and is not open to having a serious discussion.

The same people in here talking about how suburban black people are less black and look down on hood black people; don't seem to notice that hood black people look down on Country black people. So are hood black people less black than Country black people? Because hood black people are always trying to disassociate themselves from anything that seems Country; like that is bad or some shyt.
I can't figure out why people always trying to equate hood black people with being more virtuous than the all the other black people; simply because they are in the midst of a "supposed" harder struggle than other black people. "Supposed"is not reality; because some suburban black people might have went through an even harder struggle. The most militant pro Black people that I have ever met in my life lived in the suburbs. They actually had a chance to see the big picture and how black people are set up for failure. And some of the biggest c00ns I have ever known were in the hood. They always talking about how White people ain't gonna let us do this; and how White people ain't gonna let us have that. And then they never try to better themselves; which fulfills the White man's agenda about Black people not want or doing shyt.
