This is pretty silly. If you grow up in the burbs or in a upper class area, you will likely be surrounded by whites and other cultures.

Which is exactly why many tend to identify with outside groups. I've seen this play out in many different ways, its not all, or even the majority. But there is a certain sense of elitism that I've seen. Hell even on this board you can feel some nikkas have a lil
:mjpls:in their heart.

personalty i always assumed most upper class blacks are Toms whom licked white boots to make it out the hood or the offspring or said as aforementioned sellouts whom think they better than the rest of us and grew up pampered/spoiled and thus mentally cacs:yeshrug:
So in your mind only succesful black people are successful due to help from the white man? Wow!

Can we maybe discuss how to stem this issue? Anyone wanna talk about that?

The way to stem the issue or a solution if you will; is that Black people at all levels and in every Country need to stop being victims and fight back. Take some personal fukking accountability. You can not change everybody; but you can at least work on yourself.

Another thing is that we need to appreciate Country Black people. In thread after thread; we are talking about creating generational wealth and stronger family bonds and stronger communities. We never acknowledge that lots Country Black people leave acres and acres of land to their children. They also usually have pretty solid family and community ties. They are literally some of the salt of the Earth. They built their own colleges, banks, churches and homes. And many of them are completely self sufficient. They were not sitting around waiting for no white man to do nothing for them; but because they didn't and don't have a bunch of material shyt nor the corresponding debt; then City people look down on them and call them dusty.

God Bless Country Black people.

Live your own life
Because blacks who grew up in the burbs are sheltered from the real reality of being black. My cousins who are from the burbs think police are nice lol. Completely different life from living in Chicago, and people from the burbs always think they know what's good for people from the hood to do. You can't compare at all.
Hood people are just as sheltered as people living in the burbs. I know this because I grew up in the hood and there are many people in the hood haven't experienced life beyond their city's limit. What they see in their neighborhood is all they know. In addition, many of them aren't even conscious of systemic oppression that created their urban plight and many of them are disconnected from their heritage and history. Most people in the hood are not the majority in the conscious group that make an effort to change the social condition of the black community.

The myth of Blacks hating other Blacks for being successful really needs to die. In my opinion, ain't no group of people more obsessed with success than us. We'll overcome everything we can just to obtain 1% of success. There is a kid in my hood who is working at McDonald's and going off to Marine bootcamp in January and ain't nobody in this hood hating on him. As a matter of fact, they are encouraging him so he can have a chance to get out of systematic poverty.

I remember in school kids clowning the other kid who is purposefully dumb and refuses to pass their classes, grade levels. Nobody was praising the failure, nobody.

Social acceptance from white people. Most educated blacks are c00ns to be very blunt.

Y'all read this post again and let it really sink in. Again, this mentality is REAL and goes all the way back to the slave days when "educated" or "well-spoken" blacks were often accused of being "sellouts" and "uncle toms" BY OTHER SLAVES. As you can see, this mentality still exists today.
