It's about politics. Hip-Hop has always been seen as a MAN'S genre which means hip-hop fans would accept a White/Hispanic etc man before they'd accept a woman of any race seriously musically (excluding exceptions).
Even tho there are countless female artists with the work to qualify them as "legendary status" since the genre's creation they'll still never get acceptance from the fans because it's about politics.
There's a history of white rappers with beastie boys, Eminem, etc. some of whom felt like appreciators and respecters of the craft rather than abusers, and they had talent
