I'm getting my masters right now, in chemistry....and homie is right in my opinion. Pharmacy technician is a TERRIBLE job. What state did you work in? In Georgia, all you need to work is a background check and license. No need for certification. In fact, im pretty sure most states dont require it and if they do its a new thing. Also, the store i worked in was busy as hell. Non stop, at 8.15 an hourFirst of all, why is it stupid? You don't need a degree, but you DO have to get certified in most stores and hospitals (which I did). Again, it required a lot more skill than when I was a carhop at a fast food restaurant. I had to actually study to take the exam to be certified. Here is the certification website: http://www.ptcb.org. You're probably stupid if you don't understand that. Also, not sure why you relisted the salary information because I already said in the previous post that I wasn't making 15/hr.
Second, I was a pharmacy technician in high school and some of college. It was an AMAZING job to have as a senior in high school and throughout some of college. I actually really loved that job. I have a masters and and am currently in a phd program. I no longer work in pharmacy so that last line (about it seeming like a horrible job) isn't an insult to me (you tried it though)..
. It was brutal. It doesnt take a genius to do pharm tech...in fact most people who do it are young pre pharm students....or career pharm techs who arent very bright happy to go in every day and work weekends regularly. Thats the dichotomy imo. @CrimsonTider
to you bucking these insane arguments in here. They grow up their whole lives laughing at unskilled laborers but fact is they work hard (sometimes much harder) than most of the country and are basically told to survive on meager wages by these super companies. Then the government wonders why tax dollars are being spent so freely on social programs. There is absolutely no way to live comfortably on minimum wage. I am so glad my parents had the patience and financial ability (barely lol) to let me pursue higher education. I would have caught a body as a career pharm tech.
.

we are doing the same thing. Telling experiences. I respectfully gave my version, you gave yours.
