IMO, it's not a big deal or heavy task to get rid of cashiers though. You literally just turn the register computer that they currently have the other way.

They already have automation for drinks for the drive thru, and most have the soda fountain out in the front anyway.

While your average McD's has about 10 people working now, they could easily cut down to 5-6 (1 manager, 1 drive thru person, 1 fry person, 1 burger person, and a person keeping things clean.) :ld:

of course you'd have to change the registers to the self checkout types they have at home depot and what not so people could get change for when they pay cash.

That appears to be a lot more feasible than the call center approach and I do believe that most McDonalds will be ran by a crew no larger than 7 in 10-15 years.

The only thing about the computerized registers is that the patrons will have to be held accountable for a lot of things. I will hate to be in the hood somewhere when McDs is doing peak business and Genevieve is holding up the line cause she can't figure out how to place her order on the register. God forbid if the orders that get put in incorrectly increase and the food cost skyrockets. Somebody gotta be in there just for crowd control in some of these spots........But yeah. I agree with you that McDs and companies alike are gonna figure out a way to run their stores with smaller crews.......Ish is inevitable

Yes but it's not that easy. A 15 dollar minimum wage will have more detriments than benefits if it's instituted nation wide
I'm glad the Senate is GOP. Dems would be dumb enough to pass this bullshyt. Them red face crakkas actually might come in handy for something for once.

They’re are several areas in the US where the median wage is around $15. A law doubling the minimum wage is not going to magically create more money in Alabama, Mississippi, or Louisiana. It’s going to ensure that only the largest corporations can continue to operate there.
