You clearly said how can you be confident imparting advice on a subjective topic? Subjectivity means people have different views on something why should he not be confident in his opinion ?
How can he be confident in saying marriage is for sure a bad idea when marriage itself is such a subjective matter. There's no clear right or wrong answer in regards to if marriage is a "good" decision

Dont mean u have to be married though:yeshrug: why does the government need to be involved

So let me reiterate

Im not saying marriage itself is bad

Marriage in America is

Its too much of a racket/scam for any sane man in 2017 to be apart of unless he wants to be wiped out

Marriage is a beautiful thing, only if you marry the right person for you. Most dudes out here are marrying the wrong woman for wrong reasons, because she got a fat ass, fuks like a pornstar, looks like a model etc. Choose your lady with compability in mind & whether you can build with that woman. Choose better brehs #cbb

Marriage is a personal decision that holds different value to different people. That's all well and good if it holds no value to you. It's a bit curious, however. your fervor In telling other people not to do it. Most ppl who use the internet are likely cognizant of marriage horror stories and marriage success stories.

I don't understand how u can be so confident in imparting advice on something that's so subjective

I'm off three double stacks and I'm looking for some action

Thats fine but whose to say u get married and still end up divorced old alone and ur kids hate u:russ:

This aint even bashing marriage. This is bashing the business aspect of it in America. U can love and be with someone without being married.
1) it's a risk you take :manny:
2) i totally agree with that...but to act like the majority of this country isn't indoctrinated into the institution of marriage would be naive. so many people view marriage as the ultimate goal/only acceptable outcome of a serious relationship, they'd never consider alternative ways to maintain a lifelong partnership. i'm actually on the fence myself, i think it's something way sexier about being my dude's "girlfriend" for life vs "wife"...girlfriends do all the things your wife won't :shaq: :pachaha:

And those probably started 50+ and 30+ years ago. Today is a different monster and it's not one that really encourages healthy relationships let alone marriage.

Divorce rates are down from when both of them got married.

Breh we not even talking about what woman to marry. We talking about how the government intervenes and pimps the common man. And even the best woman can get in on this scheme bc its THAT easy.

Besides if u find a chick u love what GOOD reason u need to get a wedding license w the state like @skeetsinternal said....nothing. Have the ceremony and love each other.

Ive only seen two good reasons ITT to actually get married . Compared to like 10+ not to

And thats how the racket begins:pachaha:

Marriage in this country is a big racket from the marriage planners licenses etc to the divorce court guised under "love" and "family" building.

Marriage is beautiful and needed but the way the government sets it up makes it toxic IMO. Thats my issue.

ask any divorce man if he would get married again under the current scheme of marriage...they will tell you hell no or recommend they change some things......its a no brainer to not get married
:russ:Obviously someone who's divorced would have a biased viewpoint of marriage. I bet nikkas in jail would tell u robbing banks is a terrible idea too. What does that prove

So what Im gettin from this thread is:

The benefits of marriage

Expanding ur wealth (even tho u can do that without being married tbh but it works better when ur legally married)
Giving ur kids ur last name (good point)
Want a stable family unit (probably the best reason but u can have a ceremony and act as a family either way)

So two ballers getting married in 2017 is a GOOD look.

None of us are ballers though.

Every other reason to file for a wedding license and get married is some sentimental emotional reason

  • "I dont wanna grow old alone" - u dont have to get married to grow old with someone u love. Ur gonna die alone anyways wtf
  • "i want a stable family"- u can do that without a marriage license and co parenting is manageable
  • "Choose better women"- women arent the problem, the government is. The government just uses them
  • "We been together forever"- u can be together forever without being legally married to. Are yall married bc u want to or shes stuck around so long
  • "I dont wanna lose her"- Kill urself
  • "I always wanted to get married"- why bc thats what u been forcefed or do u actually want to? We get forcefed alot of bs
  • "My parents/grandparents still married"- marriage was more privatized plus different set of values back then compared to now.

As an engaged breh, different strokes for different folks. My setup is good and my marriage will be a key part in providing a stable environment for my future children to succeed.

But you have to make sure you and your partner are built for the long haul. I would much prefer to be single than to wife a thot or an uncoachable woman just to say I'm married.

To each their own.
