Why aren’t black listeners supporting new R&B artists with potential?

I listened to it when it dropped but wasn't feeling it outside of a couple of songs. As I get older I can't help but take notice of songwriting, and the writing on a/s/l is Ari's songwriting in general is a lil bland sometimes.

Music just is in a big rut right now.

Thats part of the problem. Nobody wanna hear a bootleg erykah badu. Badu got better and stronger vocals as well.

I like the pressure record. but the rest of the album is mid and just not that good. She is a decent singer for this generation but cant hold a candle to singers from the 90s and early 2000's so thats why rnb heads aint checking for her. Plus she cuss too much like others have said.
